Today, we considered several legislative matters aimed at strengthening governance and improving the wellbeing of our people during plenary.

At the sitting, the House received a petition from the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities, drawing attention to issues affecting members of the disability community.

We considered the Second Reading of the Oyo State Single-Use Plastics Prohibition Bill, 2026, a crucial step toward protecting our environment, while the Oyo State Consumer Protection Agency Bill, 2024 progressed to the Third Reading following the presentation of the report of the Committee on Commerce and Cooperatives.

In addition, the House received the report of the Committee on Health on the €55 million French Treasury concessional loan for the renovation of secondary healthcare facilities across Oyo State.

There was also a Motion calling for proper documentation of government-acquired lands by Ministries, Departments, Agencies and Local Governments through the Office of the Surveyor-General to prevent land disputes and safeguard public assets.
