As of today:
🔥 35.533B $BYTE burned forever.
That’s over 3.55% of the original supply gone.
Next stop: 40 BILLION.
How soon does the ByteArmy get there? 👀
I think people are overlooking what may be the most important part of the announcement.
The patent isn’t simply for a stablecoin.
It’s for a stablecoin smart contract with embedded depository functionality —described as merging a payment stablecoin and a deposit token into a single on-chain dollar that can operate within the banking system instead of draining liquidity from it.
That’s a huge differentiator.
Today’s stablecoins have an inherent tension with banks. When users move money into most stablecoins, those funds are effectively removed from traditional bank deposits and converted into a digital asset backed by reserves. The stablecoin ecosystem grows, but banks don’t necessarily benefit from that growth. It’s literally why banks raised a lot of issue with the #clarity act.
Telcoin appears to be attacking that problem directly.
Instead of forcing banks to compete against blockchain, they’re proposing infrastructure that allows blockchain to operate as an extension of the banking system.
If that’s truly what they’ve built, it’s a completely different incentive model.
• Banks retain deposits instead of losing them.
• Users get programmable, on-chain dollars.
• Regulators see activity occurring inside regulated financial institutions rather than outside them.
• Developers gain access to a compliant digital dollar that can interact with smart contracts.
What’s even more interesting is that this isn’t happening in isolation.
Telcoin has spent years building the regulatory foundation—pursuing a digital asset bank charter, developing Digital Cash infrastructure, and positioning itself at the intersection of banking and blockchain coupled with banking the unbanked through mobile network operators as validators and dapp developers. on their network. The Telcoin association hired a prominent MNO advisor who has an incredibly impressive resume to add even more firepower behind their plan for adoption.
This patent feels less like a standalone idea and more like another piece of a much larger strategy.
Could competitors build something similar?
Maybe.
But if Telcoin’s implementation is genuinely novel and ultimately patentable, it creates an intellectual property moat around a model that many banks may eventually want to adopt.
The market has spent years debating stablecoins vs. tokenized deposits as if they’re competing products.
Telcoin is asking a different question: Why not combine them?
If they succeed, they’re introducing a new architecture for digital dollars—one that aligns banks, regulators, developers, and users instead of forcing each group to make compromises.
The provisional patent itself isn’t public yet, so we don’t know exactly what the claims look like. But if Telcoin’s public description accurately reflects what’s inside that filing, I think the market is dramatically underestimating how significant this could become.
Infrastructure is rarely exciting when it’s being built.
It’s obvious only after everyone else starts using it.

We're excited to share what we've been working on: AgentSuite, a no-code AI agent builder that lets you create and monetize for-hire agents, trained on you.
Your lived experience is valuable, and it's something an AI model can't replicate on its own. As the marginal cost of intelligence falls, the scarce resource isn't the raw model, it's your unique perspectives and insights.
The vision for AgentSuite is to deliver an off-the-shelf product that lets anyone spin up, host, and monetize specialized AI agents without technical overheads, helping unlock the immense power of AI, while making expertise accessible and affordable for everyone.
AgentSuite consists of three products:
- AgentForge, a no-code builder that turns what you know into a working agent.
- AgentMarket, where creators publish and host agents, and customers hire.
- AgentTrust - the flagship trust layer running on VeChain’s blockchain rails.
Web3 integration provides a critical transparency layer that will deliver agent IDs, a scoring system and escrow capabilities, among other things, overcoming the 'black box' problem facing the agent economy.
Billions of autonomous actors are coming online - transacting, exchanging value and ushering in a new era of economic growth. Our mission is to deliver the foundations they run on, seamlessly, and invisibly.
