I strongly condemn the horrific attacks carried out since yesterday afternoon by former President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud regime against former President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed and former Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire.
It is deeply concerning and regrettable that security forces resorted to the use of force to prevent peaceful demonstrations that had been scheduled to take place today. I pray that Almighty Allah grants a swift and complete recovery to all those who sustained injuries during these incidents.
Furthermore, the rights to peaceful assembly, freedom of expression, and public gathering are fundamental constitutional freedoms that must be respected, safeguarded, and upheld at all times. The obstruction or suppression of the lawful exercise of these rights by security forces is unacceptable. Any individual or institutions found to have acted unlawfully or used excessive force should be held fully accountable in accordance with the law.

𝗕𝗜𝗦𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗛
This afternoon, I had the honor of participating in a broad consultative forum on the future of Galmudug State, bringing together political leaders, traditional elders, youth representatives, and diverse members of the Galmudug community residing in Mogadishu.
The discussions focused on fostering an inclusive dialogue on the future of Galmudug and the forthcoming electoral process, in a manner consistent with the Constitution of Galmudug and the collective agreements and aspirations of its people.

Participants underscored the importance of safeguarding unity, social cohesion, and peaceful coexistence within the community, while promoting a spirit of compromise, constructive engagement, and mutual respect.

𝗕𝗜𝗦𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗛
I strongly condemn the acts of land grabbing, torture and violations of human rights against the residents of Deynile District.
It is regrettable that, at a time when the country is facing significant challenges, including severe drought conditions impacting many regions. The government under President Hassan Sheikh continues to engage in unlawful actions involving forced displacement and systematic land appropriation targeting innocent civilians.
I extend my sincere wishes for the swift recovery of those injured and offer my solidarity with the families and communities affected during this difficult period.
I call upon the national armed forces to exercise restraint and to ensure that all actions taken are consistent with the law and the protection of citizens’ rights, particularly in situations involving vulnerable communities defending their land.
Finally, I urge the Federal Government, whose term is nearing its end, to desist from these unlawful actions, to immediately release the elders and civilians who have been detained, and to take concrete measures to safeguard the rights of the public and the security of their land.

I strongly condemn the arrest and alleged mistreatment of the young individuals reportedly detained tonight by the government (Najiib Ali Osoble, Ahmed Hassan Abdi, and Abukar Mohamed Hussein).
The peaceful expression of views by young people is a fundamental right guaranteed under the Constitution. It is therefore deeply concerning that, in recent days, state security forces appear to have been used to suppress and detain youths for exercising their right to express their opinions.
Such actions undermine the constitutional rights of citizens and may erode public confidence in state institutions, as well as the democratic principles and governance standards that the country seeks to uphold.

We undertook a visit to express our solidarity with the Members of Parliament who were unable to proceed with their planned consultative visit to their electoral constituency in Garowe, Puntland.
We view this development with concern, as such actions may have implications for national unity and stability. The ability of Members of Parliament to engage freely with their constituents is fundamental to the effective functioning of democratic institutions and is safeguarded under the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
We therefore call upon the leadership of the Federal Government to uphold constitutional principles and ensure respect for institutional processes. Furthermore, we encourage that priority be given to the urgent humanitarian needs of citizens affected by the ongoing drought, and to redirect the funds allocated to the approval of an unconsented constitutional process toward supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged communities.

I strongly condemn the unlawful arrest of journalist 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗳𝗶𝗱 𝗡𝘂𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗲, who has been unjustly deprived of his liberty.

I call for his immediate and unconditional release, and for the full protection of his safety and fundamental rights.

The suppression of journalists is a grave violation that undermines the integrity of governance and erodes public trust. A free press is a cornerstone of democracy, accountability, and transparency. Therefore, security institutions must respect the independence of the media and refrain from any actions that constitute repression or that contravene the principles of the rule of law and human rights.

I had the honor of participating in a consultative meeting convened between the Federal Government of Somalia, led by H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, and the Somali Future Council.

The meeting marked a formal commencement of dialogue and served as an initial framework-setting session for forthcoming deliberations. Discussions are expected to focus on the future of the nation, the strengthening of national cohesion, and the resolution of pending electoral matters.

It is envisaged that these engagements will culminate in a comprehensive and sustainable political agreement that advances the collective interests of the Somali people.

We convened a consultative meeting with representatives of Somali Civil Society Organizations to exchange views on the prevailing national situation. The discussions focused on key priorities, including the security matters, the ongoing constitutional review process—where full consensus remains to be achieved—the uncertainties surrounding the forthcoming electoral process, and the urgent mobilization of humanitarian assistance for communities severely impacted by the drought.
During the meeting, we underscored the importance of sustained and inclusive dialogue, as well as enhanced coordination among all stakeholders, to advance durable security, political stability, and a transparent, credible, and broadly accepted electoral framework.
Somali Civil Society Organizations continue to play an indispensable role in fostering constructive engagement between public institutions and citizens, strengthening social cohesion, promoting peacebuilding efforts, and supporting national development. Their meaningful participation remains essential to consolidating progress toward a stable, democratic, and prosperous Somalia grounded in cooperation and mutual confidence.

This evening, the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, paid me a visit at my residence to convey his formal regrets concerning the incident in which NISA personnel prevented my access to Aden Adde International Airport.
I had intended to attend a previously scheduled meeting with the Somali Future Council. However, the incident in question was clearly inconsistent with established standards of institutional protocol, mutual respect, and the principles that guide accountable and orderly governance.

I had the honor of participating in a dinner engagement and consultative dialogue between the Somali Future Council and Members of both Houses of the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
I wish to express my appreciation to the Somali Future Council and to the distinguished Members of Parliament for their continued commitment, time, and efforts dedicated to safeguarding our nation, upholding the rule of law, and strengthening the foundations of our statehood.
At this pivotal moment, we are presented with a valuable opportunity to come together in Mogadishu to deliberate and reach common ground on the critical issues that shape the future of our country. While there have been regrettable developments that risk heightening tensions, we remain steadfast in advocating for restraint, responsible leadership, and constructive engagement rooted in national interest.
The Somali Future Council has demonstrated commendable flexibility, political maturity, and a readiness to pursue compromise in the service of the greater good. I respectfully call upon the leadership of the Federal Government to prioritize national unity, reinforce social cohesion, and avoid actions that may inadvertently deepen divisions among our people.
Finally, I urge all officials and the Somali people at large to extend solidarity and assistance to our fellow citizens affected by the ongoing drought. Addressing their suffering is not only a humanitarian imperative, but also a national responsibility and religious duty that calls for collective action.

It was a great honor for me to host the Technical Team of the Somali Future Council at my residence. In recent days, the team has been carrying out important responsibilities with dedication, integrity, and a strong sense of duty. This meeting served as an opportunity for an exchange of information and for the formal expression of appreciation for the team’s continuous efforts on behalf of the Council, as well as their service to the broader Somali people—particularly in the preparation and successful facilitation of the Dialogue Meeting between the Somali Future Council and the Government.

Today, I visited Yerdimeli Speciality Hospital to check on Member of Parliament Adar Hared Jabril, who sustained injuries after being assaulted by security forces deployed at the House of the People (Parliament).
This incident constitutes a clear violation of the law, parliamentary immunity, and the fundamental principles of state governance based on order, legality, and respect for constitutional institutions.
We unequivocally condemn the use of force and the suppression of political expression, and we reaffirm that we will never accept any breach of the law or any coercive attempt to impose constitutional amendments. May Allah grant the Honorable Member of Parliament a swift and full recovery.

I had the honor of attending the closing ceremony of the Annual Heritage Policy Dialogue Forum (AFI 2025), held in Dhusamareb, Galmudug Federal Member State.
The forum provided a valuable platform for constructive and in-depth discussions on key issues related to state-building, security, political processes, and social development.
I wish to express my sincere appreciation to the leadership and officials of the Galmudug State Government, as well as the management of the Heritage Institute, for their leadership and cooperation in successfully convening this important forum.
