Life is a journey of constant growth and learning. Every challenge you face is shaping you into someone stronger and wiser. Don’t rush your process—good things take time. Stay focused, keep believing in yourself, and never forget that every small step forward is still progress.
I strongly condemn the jungle justice meted out to some of our citizens, who, from all indications, were travelling for Sallah. This incident has saddened my day and blighted the outlook for a happy Sallah. Under no circumstances was what happened defensible or permissible.
As it occurred in Edo State, I call on the Edo State Government to immediately swing into action and bring all those responsible to justice. A speedy justice.
We must do this to telegraph to everyone within and without the borders of Nigeria that Nigerian Lives Matter, whether they be Northern or Southern:
I urge Mutanen Arewa to please exercise restraint as we give room and time for the Edo State Government to do the needful. However, should they demur, I have every confidence in the Federal Government led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to step in and ensure that justice is done and seen to be done.
My condolences to the families of those affected by this injustice. And I especially commiserate with the government and people of whatever ststes they originated from.
Finally, I call on public voices that are usually loud when things happen in Northern Nigeria but quiet when it hits closer to home to show us that they care for all Nigerians equally by coming out of their shells to join the cause for justice for our brethren who met such an untimely end in the most gruesome manner.
