Don’t beat yourself up. Not every meeting turns into an opportunity. A young musician meeting Don Jazzy could be a life changing opportunity, but the same meeting might not mean the same thing for someone else.
Some of my colleagues and I spent an hour with Alhaji Aliko Dangote in his office last week, and despite my current broke situation, it never crossed my mind to pitch him for anything. It’s not like I don’t have things to pitch. It just wasn’t right.
You didn’t have anything specific to discuss with @realFemiOtedola, so you shouldn’t have any regrets. Have you read his book? If you had, perhaps you could have asked him to clarify something he wrote.
Successful people meet others who are constantly trying to pitch them, and that can become exhausting. You took a selfie. That’s okay. Who knows? Maybe he’s seen this post. Something might come from it or it might not.
Either way, keep it moving.
This is why i said we really have a numbers problem in this country.
There are only about 7200 dollar Millionaires (billionaires in Naira) in Nigeria. This is nowhere near 1 million in Lagos alone.
In 2025, Customer deposits in tier 1 banks (First Bank, UBA, GTCO, Zenith and Access Bank) was N114 trillion.
But according to this egbon's calculator, 1 million people x 1 billion naira each = N1 quadrillion.
This is thousands of times larger than Nigeria’s entire banking system deposits. Impossible.
Pls stop cooking these ridiculous numbers nau.
TROOPS OF 65 BATTALION INTERCEPT TRUCK CONVEYING LARGE CONSIGNMENT OF ILLICIT DRUGS ALONG LAGOS–CALABAR COASTAL ROAD
Troops of 65 Battalion have recorded an operational success with the interception of a truck conveying a large consignment of illicit drugs along the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Road following actionable intelligence received from a credible source.
The intelligence-led operation, conducted on 9 July 2026, resulted in the successful interception of the vehicle and the arrest of its driver. Preliminary investigations revealed that the illicit consignment was being transported to the Berger general area of Lagos State. However, the suspect could not provide satisfactory information regarding the ownership or intended recipient of the drugs.
In line with established procedures, the suspect and the recovered illicit drugs were subsequently handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Lagos State Command, for further investigation and prosecution. The handover was conducted by the Commanding Officer, 65 Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel S Adeojo.
Reacting to the development, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Adebayo Babalola, commended the troops for their vigilance, professionalism and operational effectiveness. He urged them to sustain the tempo of ongoing operations and intensify efforts aimed at denying drug traffickers and other criminal elements any freedom of action within the 81 Division Area of Responsibility.

So, VAR steps in to give Embolo a second yellow because the referee made the wrong decision in the first place to book Paredes? If it was just a foul, not a yellow, it’s not reviewable.
Pure insanity. Game’s gone. Less VAR man. For the love of god
