Mohammed Ismail Hamaen
@Moism19
Mohammed Ismail Hamaen is 25 years old and single, and he is the eldest of seven family members living together in a displacement tent. His family has been displaced around 10 times since the genocide began, and their current living conditions are difficult, with pollution, skin problems, extreme cold in winter, and intense heat in summer. Mohammed was injured during the siege, breaking his leg, and he also has a hearing impairment that makes communication difficult. His father has diabetes and needs regular medication, while his mother suffers from heart disease as well as a slipped disc in her spine, causing ongoing pain and requiring painkillers. She also needs a heart surgery, but this treatment is not currently available in Gaza, so the family hopes to eventually get her to a place where she can receive it. Mohammed’s siblings are studying at university, adding to the family’s financial difficulties. Their main needs are medication for his mother, treatment for their other medical needs, and, if possible, the ability to travel for his mother’s surgery, while also managing the basic costs of living in the tent.
