Before he was a 5X Pro Bowler in the NFL, Lawrence McCutcheon was the first player in school history to produce a 1,000-yard season (1970).

He was also the first to rush for 200+ yards in a single game, doing so vs. Wichita State in 1969.

@aztecs___1 (2) Furthermore, both USU and GCU were on spring break and had a large contingent of students. Their schools probably had a sign up for going to Vegas for spring break to watch the tourney. As far as I know, none of the other schools were on spring break.

@aztecs___1 (1) There some other factors here. Many of the bad or average schools are not located within easy driving distance of Vegas. All the good and great have easy or easier drives except maybe Gonzaga which is a basketball only school so of course everyone comes.
