I don’t write characters
They are born
In Civilis Engine every being arrives already someone
Instinct, emotion, identity and purpose compete inside
Nothing is scripted
Today three of them faced the same moment
3 different lives
We observe
#CivilisEngine#ALife#BuildInPublic
Honest note, how cold affects their sleep is still being tuned with real data. What they did, they did on their own. #LivingWorld#CivilisEngine#gamedev
Today in #LivingWorld three people woke up on an island
Aria, Kael and Mora. Naked, at the start of autumn, knowing nothing.
They don't know what is food, what is water or what the trees are. Everything they do, they have to find out. #CivilisEngine#NPC#Buildinginpublic
In 3 days they ate 5 kg of real fruit, taken from the island itself and drank 8.4 litres from puddles.
And each of them went their own way. They haven't looked for each other yet.
🧪 LivingWorld — test log #3
No two of our inhabitants feel the same way. Each one is now born with its own temperament and its mind runs on real human time. Moods that linger for hours, loneliness that builds up over a day alone. 🧵
@joseraul_79 Como conseguiste usuarios? yo publique una gratuita hace 1 mes y lleva 15 descargas y 67 visitas... y aunque tiene competencia es un nicho con bastantes usuarios pero si no la descubren...
And while testing, I saw a very human spiral, after a bad night, one of them spent the next day tired, lying down but unable to fall asleep. I fixed the model, the more tired you are, the faster you drop off.
@AicadeGalaxy Everything is possible.
Right now we’re focused on how they discover the world with zero prior knowledge.
Maybe collaboration, barter or even an economy emerges on its own.
We’ll watch and see.
Mundo Vidente — test log #1
We gave our inhabitants a real body: they get hungry, thirsty, sleepy, cold and hot and none of it is scripted as "do this at that time". We let them live 10 days straight, second by second. Here's what happened 🧵
🧪 Mundo Vidente — test log #2
We dropped an inhabitant into an unknown place knowing NOTHING, not that water quenches thirst, not what's edible, not that a cave keeps you warm. Just its needs and its curiosity. 12 days alone. 🧵
When the water was out of sight, it went exploring, found it and from then on walked back to it from memory.
And it ended up sleeping in the cave almost every night.
