Today, we celebrate the vast blue heart of our planet—the oceans. Be mindful, be curious, and be bold in your efforts to protect them.
Here’s to the beauty, power, and mystery of the oceans. 🌍💙 #WorldOceansDay#ProtectOurBluePlanet#OceanLove
i love these stupid little gummybear fish with all my crusty wrinkly little heart you can practically see the gears in their brains turning in order to eat their little slop balls
Epaulette Shark (Hemiscyllium ocellatum)
Identify the Epaulette Shark by its small size, elongated body, and large black spot outlined in white near its pectoral fins. Its tan body has dark spots. Found in shallow coral reefs and tidal pools in the Indo-Pacific.
Today's beautiful angel is the Regal Angelfish (Pygoplites diacanthus). The species is widely distributed in the Indo-Pacific, but there is quite a bit of color difference between the Indian and Pacific populations. The Indian Ocean fish (my favorites) have much more yellow.
