And just to put it out there...

I was never a One Direction fan.
I didn't grow up with their music. I barely listened to English songs, so if one came on, I'd hear it in passing. "Remember" was one that stayed with me, but I never looked into who Liam was.

Then I heard about his death. Something about it stayed with me. I went back and listened to his music, watched his interviews, his performances, his livestreams... and somewhere along the way, I fell in love with the person he was.

Then I started reading about what he had been through. The years of ridicule, the double standards, the way parts of this fandom treated him. I fell down the rabbit hole and realized how differently Liam was judged compared to everyone else.

So yes, I came late. Far too late, if I'm being honest. But loving someone isn't measured by how many years you've been here. My grief, my admiration, and my anger at how he was treated are no less real because I found him after he was gone.

I'm here because of Liam. I stay because of Liam. And I won't apologize for speaking up when I see his story rewritten or his name used as a punching bag.
