NEW: Marc Andreessen breaks down Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)
Regulation Overhaul:
āThereās a recent Supreme Court ruling on executive authority and Chevron Deference.ā
This opens a powerful window for the executive branch to cut unnecessary regulations and scale back bloated agencies.
Bureaucratic Bloat:
āThereās a rumor that nobody knows the exact number of federal agencies. Estimates range from 450 to 500.ā
āWe now have āindependent agencies.ā Iāve read the Constitutionāthereās no provision for independent agencies.ā
Ghost Town Offices:
āFederal buildings in D.C. have an average occupancy rate of 25%ālower than San Francisco.ā
āThere are agencies where employees come in just one day a month⦠and even thatās combined into two days every two months.ā
Spending Reform:
āThereās a law from 1974 that prevents the President from spending less than Congress appropriates. If you read the Constitution, it doesnāt say that.ā
āItās worth revisiting impoundmentāshould the President have the power to save taxpayer money by not spending everything Congress allocates?ā
Direct Public Engagement:
āRoss Perot had flip charts, Proxmire had the Golden Fleece Awardābut they only got a few minutes of airtime once a year. What does Elon have?
The ability to ventilate information directly to the public.ā
āThis isnāt PR anymoreāitās direct interaction with the people.ā
Presidential Power:
āIf the people are on board with the President, he has tremendous power to push Congress to act.ā
āAll great presidents knew thisāReagan knew it, FDR knew it, and Trump knows it.ā
July 4, 2026: DOGE sunsets, but its impact could be long-lasting.
Will this initiative succeed in cutting government waste and bureaucracy, or will politics get in the way?
Adolf Hitler, a CONVICTED FELON, rose to power as Chancellor of Germany in 1933. He cleverly positioned himself as the voice of the ācommon man,ā railing against the elites and the establishment.
To solidify his base, Hitler masterfully scapegoated minorities for the nationās problems, exploiting societal divisions with an āus vs. themā narrative. Itās almost as if dividing people and stoking anger can serve a political agendaāwho wouldāve guessed?
Once in power, he wasted no time dismantling democratic institutions. Loyalty wasnāt just encouraged; it was demanded. Opponents? Silenced. Media that dared to question him? Vilified as āthe enemy,ā naturally.
But hey, history is just history, right? Itās not like anyone would fall for something like that again.
I think there is a serious problem with unhinged anti-Indian racism on X.
Random nuts have figured that the easiest way to get engagement is to post anti-Indian hate, and profit from the storm that follows. It's become a daily event on our timelines.
Protesting only rewards the racists with even more engagement. So what is the best solution?
Racism, xenophobia, and antisemitism have lost their taboo at scale and by explicit design on Twitter/X. I believe wholeheartedly in cultures of free speech. What is going on here now is something else entirely. My latest in @TheAtlantic
