@paddypower itβs now over a week since money was stolen from my account. After constant communication (which is ridiculously hard to go through) and being told replies to my emails will come, why have I not been replied to and reimbursed?
England - and the Premier League - indebted to the EFL again. Look at Thomas Tuchel's young midfield options. Alex Scott, called up for the first time, shows the importance of the EFL in player development β 91 games for Bristol City before Bournemouth came calling. His journey also highlights the importance of the FA pathway.
Scott won the Under-19 Euros in 2022, won the Under-21 Euros this summer, and now steps up into England seniors for the first time. βAlex deserves to be with us,β Tuchel said of the 22-year-old. βI first closely saw him in the Euros, with the Under-21s, where he did excellently together with Elliot Anderson in central midfield and played a huge part in the title win for the Under-21s.
"Since then, he stepped really up and is a regular starter for Bournemouth, who are overperforming constantly in the league. He will come as a No 8. Hopefully he can prove us right and show his talent and personality.β
Anderson, 22, himself developed on loan from Newcastle United at Bristol Rovers β 21 games in League Two, seven goals. Anderson a slight doubt for England v Serbia and Albania. βElliot did very, very well for us in central defensive midfield, but he suffers a little bit from pain and discomfort at the moment. Nothing major. I think he will be involved in the weekend's match for Forest, but we are aware of that.β Shaun Dyche rested Anderson against Sturm Graz in advance of Sundayβs Premier League game against Leeds United.
Tuchel has been keen to get Adam Wharton, 21, involved anyway, but knows he can cover for Anderson. βWe added Adam to the team, first of all, because he deserves it. We tried for the third time to call him up, I hope he stays fit and is able to come. One was a concussion protocol and an eye problem and next one was groin problems that hold him back.β
Wharton is another indebted to the pyramid for his development β 51 games for Blackburn Rovers. #ENG #EFL
@BristolCity RIP Marvin. Remember him being a hero of mine when he came through. Heard so much positivity about him as a person, coach and family man. Much love and wishes to his closest ones
@TheExiledRobin Interesting, I was having this conversation last week. Has to be the most devalued academy player weβve had, only been very recent that heβs got the plaudits he deserves. That DEF may turn out to be a CM now though!!! Fancy him to score soon
Before people get too carried away with their "banter" next weekend, can we all just take a minute to remind ourselves of what our former Head Coach went through last October.
Must be pretty much a year to the day since Liam Manning and his family lost baby Theo β something no parent should ever have to go through. And something that I know affected a great many of us deeply.
Despite that, not only did he drag himself out of the pits of hell, but he came back and took us to our highest league position in nearly 20 years... If that doesn't deserve our respect, then I honestly don't know what does.
Support our lads, of course we want the win. But let's do it in a way that reflects the best of us, with class, compassion and perspective when it comes to LM... ποΏ½οΏ½ β€οΈπ€
Antoine Semenyo was subject to racist abuse from one Liverpool fan.
That's why the game has been paused.
30 minutes into a new season and nothing changes. It's disgusting.
Perfection tbh.
Twine, Anis and Yu link play sublime.
Riis the complete "complete forward"
Ross McCrorie best right back outside the prem.
Rob fucking Atkinson. Monster.
Vitek a super debut.
Quality, scything football.
Dogged, aggressive and selfless defending.
In love.
Iβve thought about this every day since. So close, 45 mins it was an even contest. This hitting the bar, his subsequent injury, the red and the reshuffle totally did for us. The burn out set in and the hope was gone. Excited for this season
