If your goal is bigger traps, doing more shrugs only solves part of the problem.

Shrugs train the upper traps.

For middle and lower trap development, rowing movements matter—but the bigger issue is whether you’re actually opening and contracting the scapula through the full range of motion.

A lot of people train back without getting enough scapular movement.
