@DeniseStacey11 I personally prefer to keep them seperate. How do you view yourself as a writer though? Is it your profession or is it your passion project? Either way, separate doesn't mean withholding your personality.
What is my identity as an author? Why do I want to be an author? Why do I want to tell stories? That question is really asking, what inspired me to be an author? What inspired me was the books I read growing up and more specifically the ones that have stuck with me as an adult.
Identity is a concept we all struggle with growing up. Every introduction is preceded by the direct or implied question, ‘Who are you?’ Assigned at birth, we have a title to answer the question with, yet it doesn't come with an identity built in. We must find that along the way.
