@hswapnil@kidney_boy A patient who is well known to nephrology yet starts dialysis in an unplanned fashion is a different issue than patients who “crash” onto dialysis or are unknown or referred late to nephrology. There is a lack of clear terminology and consensus definitions in this area.

@AaronQuinn716 @debny150 @JessicaValenti@AaronQuinn716 with this comment, you are stating that only physical abuse matters. Psychological abuse and coercive control are very real and can often escalate to violent or lethal consequences, especially when a relationship ends. Pretty archaic, ignorant view you are taking.

@hswapnil@mnaesens@OttawaRenal Did they look at how much of the extra life gained for the very elderly was spent in hospital or some sort of quality of life metric? Full disclosure- did not read the actual paper.
@ClinChemMD@Gabby_Brauner27 Agree, residency is not a job but rather an extension of your training. You are nowhere near ready to practice Medicine at the end of medical school. If you look at it as a job, then you should not expect constant teaching and be fine with just “scut”work. It goes both ways.

Hey @DrEmilyMcD and @DrToddLee
You misstate the paxlovid and GFR issue in @CMAJ here https://t.co/5De1z6SLSo
Sorry for being sensitive. But GFR < 30 is NOT a contraindication.
