Anyhow, the moral of the story is: some people choose self-defense over reality to protect their egos. A bad actor who can't admit to themselves that they were bad will demonize the person/people they've wronged in order to feel justified in their actions and protect their ego.

My best friend's mother is dying from health complications. So, I urged my friend to contact her half-sisters and let them know. They have a strained relationship with their mother because she left her husband and children after meeting a trucker at a diner (my friend's father).

So, not to say there's a right thing to do, but we decided, hey, she's dying and making her upset when she can no longer function or run from her mess or drink it off would, in its own way, be wrong. We agree my friend should stick to the lie since, for some reason, it's working.

Today, I finally figured out what I wanted to do! Unfortunately, I don't have the right color thread to finish this project. It's my day off, and my plan is to avoid social interaction by staying home with a bag of cookies and binge-watching Narcos.

Last year, I bought two blouses in not great condition at two different thrift stores and paired them together to create a layered effect. The combination still looks like...a blouse in not great condition. I habitually find lacey things and like them enough to see possibilities.

For example, I found this ugly polyester bed robe with lace sleeves earlier this year. I saw potential in the sleeves. Also, blue is my favorite color. So, I bought the robe without really knowing what I was going to do with it.

I leave the television on when I'm gone so that the cat has some noise in the house. So technically, the cat started watching Narcos first. I found it difficult to get into. I didn't really watch it outside of the parts with Pedro Pascal. But it does get good around episode four.

Overnight, police responded to reports of gunfire in Sharp-Leadenhall only to discover a gunshot victim went to a hospital via personal vehicle. Also, first responders were sent to investigate a report of a bloody person knocking on doors in Hampden and found a badly injured man.

Hampden stayed busy with an attempted armed robbery at the Royal Farms. One of two suspects involved was unwise, brought an ID card, and dropped it. There was an armed robbery in downtown Baltimore, too. Police are searching for five suspects in a Hyundai in connection to that.
