In the quiet of my soul's deep night, beneath stars that ancestors named,
I weave words, a tapestry of light, for those whose fires never waned.
A letter of love, etched in the ink of now and before,
To you, who bore life's heaviest link, and still dared to dream of more.

From whispered prayers in the shadow's embrace, to the songs in the cotton's sigh,
Your spirits dance in an endless grace, beneath the nubian sky.
Your dreams, like rivers, deep and wide, carved paths through the stoniest lands,
In your resilience, I take my stride, guided by invisible hands.

You, who faced the storm's fierce roar, with a resolve that never bent,
Planted seeds of hope in the core of a ground so harshly rent.
Your legacy, a quilt of myriad hues, stitched with pain, love, and fight,
In its warmth, I find my cues, and the courage to seek the light.

For every chain you've broken, through silent strength and loud cry,
Your sacrifice, the unspoken token, of a will too strong to die.
In history's vast, echoing hall, your tales, though often unsung,
Are beacons that beckon and call, teaching me I too must be strong.

You danced in chains, yet harbored dreams, in every whispered lullaby,
And in your resilience, it seems, I've learned too how to fly.
Your struggles, a lighthouse to my wandering boat, in life's tumultuous sea,
Your sacrifices, the notes, in my soul's symphony.

This letter, a bridge across time's vast span, from your heart to mine,
A celebration of where I began, and your enduring, undimmed shine.
For the love you've sown in this rocky soil, for the strength to endure and strive,
I am a testament to your toil, because of you, I thrive.

So to my ancestors, with every breath, I honor your sacred names,
Your lives, a defiance of death, your legacy, an eternal flame.
In this love letter, from my soul's deepest part, I thank you for the light,
For in your stories, I find my heart, and the courage to fight the good fight.
