Israel: We are killing thousands of Palestinians to save the hostages from "the Khamas"

Hostages released: report that at times, they were kept in the tunnels during Israeli airstrikes.

- One Israeli woman released explained how her husband kept beating himself every day until he bled from how severe the Israeli shelling was.

-More than 40,000 tonnes of explosives already dropped in the last two months killing more than 16,000 Palestinians).

- In essence, the tunnels kept many of the hostages alive (reminding that at least 22 were killed by Israeli airstrikes in the first weeks of the war on Gaz-).

Israel: Okay, so here's the deal. Israel will flood the tunnels with seawater. ���

🪶Note on the tunnels:
They were built underneath Gaza from decades ago connecting Gaza with Egypt through Rafah.
These tunnels became a life-support during the 17 year long siege on the strip (which somehow is evading news reporters and human rights organizations in contextualizing the reality of Gaza and what the breaking of the wall on Oct. 7th signified).

Historically, these tunnels were also used to smuggle in exports, including medicines and produce Israel banned from entry to the strip (you can find lists on Gisha's website).

They were also used to help bring in material to develop weapons (mostly explosives like the Yasin-105 which is technologically inferior to Israeli weapons, but has been successful nonetheless in obstructing and slowing down Israel's brutal land invasion on the strip).
