We are expecting Tropical Storm to Hurricane force winds and flooding beginning overnight. Mayor Lockliear asks that you please refrain from getting out on the roads until after the storm passes for your safety and for the safety of our emergency personnel.
Your Town is on the job throughout the storm providing emergency assistance when necessary. Also, remember to stay away from downed powerlines and flooded areas. If you need to report anything storm related or need assistance, call 843-719-4800 unless it is an emergency.
To report structural damage, blocked roadways, etc. within Town limits caused by Hurricane Ian over the next couple days, please contact the Town of Moncks Corner via email at [email protected], and include pictures, details, and the address of the incident.
If you plan to evacuate, please do not post it on social media as this can be utilized by people to identify targets for break-ins. Text your friends and family directly in order to let them know you are safe. Be careful what you post. Please be safe.
Our Public Services employees are also working diligently to prepare the Town for the storm. Please take the time to secure loose items in your yard to include trash cans, lawn equipment, and other items susceptible to high wind gusts.
The Town of Moncks Corner continues to prepare for the effects of Hurricane Ian. While our town offices are closed, our police department and fire department will be fully staffed throughout the event.
