Today on my way to office, I saw a responsible father driving two of his kids on two wheeler. All of them were wearing helmets. It made me believe we still have people in India who understand road safety and one day we all will.

I don’t know who’s right and wrong here. But if people are getting acquitted by misusing their power, our judiciary is not only blindfolded but actually BLIND.

Wrestler Vinesh Phogat said the women wrestlers would appeal against the acquittal of former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. She alleged that "the entire state machinery, the government, and the system have been working to protect Brij Bhushan" since the beginning of the case.

In a statement issued after the verdict on Monday, Phogat accused the authorities of shielding the former BJP MP throughout the case and confirmed that the wrestlers had instructed their lawyers to appeal.

Pune: The civic sense and traffic discipline of Punekars have once again come under scrutiny. Near Westend Mall in the Aundh area, a reckless driver violated traffic rules and drove on the wrong side. What is even more alarming is that several two-wheeler riders blindly followed him, copying the same dangerous act. Notably, the car that first broke the rule was seen carrying a “Government of India” plate in the video.

Her name is Arunima Sinha.

She was a national level volleyball player from Uttar Pradesh. Her father was in the Army. She wanted to join the paramilitary forces.

On April 12 2011 she boarded the Padmavati Express from Lucknow to Delhi to write the CISF entrance exam.

Thieves got into her compartment. They grabbed at her gold chain. A gift from her mother.

She refused to give it.

They threw her off the moving train.

She landed on the tracks. An incoming train ran over her left leg. She lay bleeding on the tracks through the night. 49 trains passed by. No one stopped.

Local people found her the next morning.

The police told the press she may have been attempting suicide or crossing tracks without a ticket.

She was 24 years old with one leg gone and no one believed her.

While lying in hospital she made a decision.

She would climb Mount Everest.

People laughed. Doctors said nothing. Her Sherpa would later tell her to turn back from the death zone.

She told him dying was not an option.

On May 21 2013 Arunima Sinha reached the summit of Mount Everest. With a prosthetic leg. After 52 days of climbing.

The first female amputee in the world to climb Everest.

She then climbed the highest peak on every continent. All seven. Including Antarctica in 2019.

She said this.

I turned my artificial leg into my strength and stubbornly chose the most difficult sport for myself.

They pushed her off a train to silence her.

She answered from the top of the world.

Her name is Arunima Sinha.
