In Dnipro, draft officers pursued a man into the entrance of his apartment block, kicked him, forcibly dragged him outside, and shoved him toward their van.
Scenes like this have become a hallmark of Ukraine’s mobilization campaign, where men are tracked down, grabbed off the streets, and packed off to the front.

The Volhynia massacres, and the broader campaign of ethnic cleansing against Poles during World War II in Ukraine, were not carried out by the Ukrainian state.

They were committed by a regional insurgent force — the UPA — operating in western Ukraine, whose total membership never exceeded 100,000 throughout its existence. Its political leadership, the OUN, collaborated with Nazi Germany in 1941 and proclaimed a puppet Ukrainian state under the protection of the Third Reich.

Meanwhile, the overwhelming majority of Ukrainians fought against Nazism. More than seven million served in the Red Army or Soviet partisan formations.

Yet today, extremists and political idiots in positions of power smear the crimes of the OUN and UPA across the entire Ukrainian nation. They poison relations with Poland and undermine Ukraine's partnerships abroad.

For what? To preserve the cult of war criminals and nationalistic fanatics who dreamed of building an ethnically homogeneous state of a distinctly fascist kind.

That is not a cult any democratic country should embrace.

BREAKING: Justice Jeremy Johnson has ruled that the Filton 4 will be sentenced as terrorists – even though two juries refused to convict them of violence charges over their efforts to disable an Israeli factory in the UK making killer drones for use in Gaza. They were found guilty of a minor charge of criminal damage.

Judge Johnson kept the jury in the dark of his plans to sentence the four as terrorists. This is the first time in British legal history that anyone has been sentenced as a terrorist for damaging property. It's a very dark moment in an increasingly authoritarian Britain.

Thousands of legal professionals complained about Johnson's clear abuses of legal procedures to help the government's case for proscribing Palestine Action as a terrorist group.

Johnson has now proved this was always a show trial.

In 4.5 years of war, Ukraine has not created any meaningful protection for its civilians. Today, Ukrainian Telegram channels are sounding the alarm about a massive planned Russian strike on Kyiv and the country as a whole. For the first time, Kyiv could be hit by the “Oreshnik” missile, which we currently cannot intercept, the channels report.
Russia plans to use:
Up to 700 drones of various types, including strike drones such as Geran-2 and Harpia-A1;
Imitation-reconnaissance drones like Gerbera and other lesser-known models;
Jet-powered drones such as Geran-3 and Geran-5.

Zelenskyy has once again urged people to take shelter in the coming days. As usual, the blame is immediately shifted to the United States for not supplying enough Patriot missiles. But what about us? Why, after 4.5 years of war, has nothing been done to make civilians feel safe? Why haven’t we produced our own air defense missiles, shields or protective systems? And why do Patriot systems primarily protect Kyiv and the presidential administration, while some regions receive just one air defense missile per month?
It is becoming painfully obvious that this war has turned into a bloody slaughter inside a closed cage, where the leadership does nothing but play the role of a television host delivering bad news.

Ukrainians in Ukraine sometimes feel like hunted animals. Here's a story that broke yesterday and was only resolved thanks to the intervention of journalists.
A 14-year-old girl from Zaporizhzhia lost her mother, and then conscription officers took her father through deception. They told him they just needed to check his documents and refused to release him. It was only when journalists got involved that he was freed. He had no legal right to be sent to the front — he is the sole guardian of his underage daughter.
She stood her ground and fought for him.
Tell me: in what country can this vile, dehumanizing treatment of its own citizens be called freedom, democracy, or a struggle for dignity?
