We’re proud to be expanding our child care services to better support student parents starting Fall 2026! Thanks to new state funding and the State University of New York, we’ll offer extended child care hours Monday through Thursday, making it easier for our adult learners to stay on track and reach their goals. 🖤💛

State funding will assist adult learners at @SUNY_Dutchess and @MonroeCC by extending their child care services to include evenings and weekends. Congratulations to 2023 MCC alum, Zazie Weldgen, who earned a silver medal and had her mural selected for the 68th Annual Exhibition by the Society of Illustrators, one of the most prestigious honors in illustration! Her work will also be featured in the official exhibit book. You can check out her mural in the student lounge on our Brighton Campus!

Monroe Community College is proud to announce that Professor Richard (Rick) Costanza, Associate Professor and Chair of Education and Human Services, has been named a 2026 Dale P. Parnell Distinguished Faculty honoree by the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC).

This prestigious award recognizes faculty who go above and beyond to support students—both inside and outside the classroom—and Professor Costanza exemplifies that commitment every day.

Professor Costanza will be formally recognized at the AACC Conference in April 2026 during a special reception honoring Dale P. Parnell Distinguished Faculty.
