@BrandonGoodno @jeff_gluck And I think they tend to forget that Larson and Elliot won their titles and Jimmie won his 7th with this format. I don’t recall any complaints after their championships.
@bobpockrass@NASCARONFOX I’m with you Bob. I think full season points would be boring.
Personally, I would like to see the playoffs extended to 12 races with the final (championship 4) also being a round of 3 races like the previous rounds.
@Jordan_Bianchi@TheAthletic I don’t know. The ratings weren’t that great considering the free trial option. I thought the broadcast was good, but not good enough to make me want to sign up for yet another service to watch races. Personally, I like the Fox & NBC coverage just as much as prime.
@nascarman_rr I’m convinced that 4 Daytona 500 poles in a row were decided before cars ever hit the track for qualifying. (For headlines)
*Danica Patrick in 2013 (woman on the pole)
*Austin Dillon in 2014 (return of the 3)
*Jeff Gordon in 2015 (final 500)
*Chase Elliott in 2016 ( first 500)

Everybody knows the rules, since there’s no 68 we use the first number.
@keselowski for the win.
@woody5949@bobpockrass Actually this is proof of why Fords are at a disadvantage. Less downforce is great for Atlanta but a disadvantage at most of the tracks.
@RFKracing@keselowski I’ve been impressed with his tenacity since coming to RFK. Reminds me of his early years in cup. Feeling the need to prove to himself and others he could be successful seems to make him a better racer.
@bobpockrass Earlier you mentioned being directed to by the team was what incurred the penalty. Jones was directed by the team not to pass Hamlin.
Bob, you sound more like a spokesperson for nascar than a journalist.
