@Keir_Starmer Well done. You’ll be darned if you do, darned if you don’t. But I believe you’ve done the right thing. Social companies have proved consistently they won’t do enough by themselves.
@LBFlyawayhome Yes!!!! Our game (that was kept since childhood) is living amongst a pile of stuff in my lounge… next to mastermind. Living the 70s in the 20s 😂
@LBC@AndrewMarr9 That presumes reform councils will actually do well. Big assumption there. It also presumes Farage would actually drop all his tons of jobs to take on the role. Let’s also count the number of by-elections that rock up in the next few years… there have been a number already.
@wself This is bang on. Councils are complex beasts in charge of our vital day to day services, the number of which would blow most peoples’ minds. Cult over Conviction is genuinely frightening. Labour for me too 🌹
@BylineTimes Horrific that this person would have any say in provision of care for elderly, disabled and vulnerable, and SEND pupils. That’s the biggest expenditure on most councils. All we can hope is that people find out why not to vote for them at the general election.
Councils are there amongst other things to manage crucial services such as SEND provision, Children and Adult social care, provide social housing and good quality education. Don’t vote for a party whose policies extend nowhere beyond immigration and taxes. #LocalElections
No vote where I am today. But for all those elsewhere thinking of voting Reform, remember: Brexit tanked the country and Farage had promoted it heavily. He then ran away on delivery, to blame others. If he does that again this time with councils, it’s on you. #LocalElections
@campbellclaret@EdwardJDavey@RoryStewartUK@Nigel_Farage I agree. I would have thought that knowing it was a public vote and the image changes every decade would have made him see sense. Do better Davey! War-hero idolatry to this unnecessary level is not something I thought I’d see you do. Remember you’re a Lib Dem (not a Womble).
@Jenny_1884 Nowadays it costs well over £200k for a 1 bed flat and that is impossible on a combined two person full-time salary of say £50k unless you go 4x salary and have big deposit. Renting before you can buy? £1000 a month easy before bills. You’re lucky you could save I’m afraid.
@MichaelRosenYes Everyone using their freedom pass is supporting the transport network. Without the money from govt which goes to transport companies in compensation, the system would be financially much worse off, less people would travel and routes possibly cancelled. Keep up the good work!
@LBC Anyone who thinks this Paddington looks very similar to actual Paddington might be a bit drug fuelled as well. I’d want my money back if I ordered a Paddington toy online and got this 😂 clearly a crazy caricature and nothing more. Cripes.
@Haggis_UK Trumpian levels of denial throughout that interview. Especially on the Robert Jendrick issue. All with a stone face. But fear not, she sang Sweet Caroline with a handful of young Tories while waggling a flag, so she’s clearly down with the kids at least...
@rickygervais Took me a good few months solid when I did similar a few years back. The 3 month wait to see change is a massive bore. Muscle also building underneath which you won’t see for a bit. I need to do it all again now sadly. Bleugh. Also, take a day or two off a week.
