@MinModulation By sheer quantity it might be true.
You need to understand. The "real games" are less than 1% of the total. By the time 1 is made 100 browser games, 100 mobile games, and 100 indie shovel ware games have been made.
@warper2509 It's where the genre fully left it's dungeon crawl roots and become a series of cutscenes with time wasting combat in between. Unless you don't know the basics of the genre you are unlikely to ever die.
@GA_Reviews The issue for me isn't the game. It's how you are reacting to it. This has been going for over 2 decades and than something like this happens and you "wake up". Than you forget about it and continue to focus your attention on IGN reviewers like its irresistibly to you.
@revenant_MMXX SotN I don't think is anywhere close. It didn't invent the castlevania aestetic or do anything that hadnt been done years before or even do it as well. It was just a popular game w casuals with a bloated move list.
What's interesting is that there isn't a lot of narrative going on which is normal for these walking simulators and the whole justification for them.
I'm not interested in people saying "Well you can't really fail." 97% of your are casuals in my book.
@TheNCSmaster I thought this was weak in everything but it's narration. You've got 20 difficulty settings with grinding instead of tightly designed difficulty with limited lives. So the arcade/action element is already dead. And if you want a grind game there are better options.
@The_Epic_Mike It's not a problem. You have people who want to buy this and people who want to play it. The rest of us know they are not good games. What's the problem?
@tachibana7010 Everyone made fun of his speaking in America. He succeeded because he was so freakish to look at and the terrible acting just made him more of a character.
I don't know if you want this as a motivation story.
