The Slide That’s Still Missing
Most of the decks follow a pretty familiar structure at this point. You get the vision, the world, the gameplay, the token, the NFTs, the roadmap. All of it building toward what this could become over time.
Somewhere in there, usually later on, there’s a mention of monetization. But it’s often pretty high level. Enough to show it’s been considered, but not always enough to understand how it actually works.
That’s the part people tend to look for, especially once the basics are clear. How does this turn into a business? It doesn’t need to be fully built out yet. Early-stage numbers are fine. Even rough assumptions are useful. But there needs to be something more concrete around how players convert, what they’re paying for, and how that might scale.
Right now, that’s still one of the more common gaps. Strong ideas, real progress on gameplay, but monetization pushed a bit further down the line. The teams that are starting to tighten this aren’t necessarily further ahead, but they are easier to understand.
Don’t Show the Campaign; Show What It Did
A lot of teams are getting more active on the growth side, which is a good sign. More tournaments, more campaigns, more experiments around distribution. What’s becoming clearer, though, is that listing the activity doesn’t really tell you much on its own.
“We ran a tournament” or “we did a KOL campaign” is a starting point, but it leaves out the part that actually matters. Did players come back after? Did engagement increase? Did any of it translate into revenue or even early signals of it?
This has come up a few times in weekly updates and deck reviews. There’s usually a solid amount of effort going in, but less clarity on what changed as a result. The teams that are starting to stand out are the ones closing that loop. They’re still running the same kinds of campaigns, but they’re much clearer about what happened because of them. What worked, what didn’t, and what they’re adjusting next.
It’s a small shift, but it makes everything easier to evaluate, because you move from activity to actual progress.
Stop Explaining Your Game and Start Showing It.
One thing that’s come up consistently in the accelerator reviews is how much time teams spend explaining their game instead of actually showing it. There’s usually a lot of detail on tokens, NFTs, long-term vision, how the system is supposed to work. All of that is useful context, but it tends to come before there’s anything concrete to anchor it to.
And when gameplay does show up, it’s often minimal. A screenshot, maybe a short clip, sometimes buried halfway through the deck. You have to piece together how the game actually feels.
The difference when teams do include real gameplay is pretty immediate. Even a short, unpolished clip makes the whole thing easier to understand. You can see the loop, the pacing, how a player interacts with it. It answers questions that slides don’t.
This has probably been the most repeated piece of feedback so far. Not to rethink the concept, just to make it tangible earlier. Because until someone can actually see the game, everything else is still a bit abstract.

Today is Mother's Day in France 🇫🇷🩷💐
Behind every great Kugle geneticist… there's a mom who never questioned why you spent 3 hours choosing the right body parts 💜
-She didn't know why you were so upset when the breeding failed.
-She had no idea why you were raging at a race against a bunch of tiny colorful balls.
But she believed in you anyway.🫵
To all the moms supporting their favorite Kugler today is yours 🥚✨
Happy Mother's Day 💜
