If students demanding Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation are being met with brutal lathi charges and tear gas, imagine the response if people started demanding Narendra Modi’s resignation.
SAMDISH SHOWS HOW POLICE BRUTALITY CRUSHED DISSENT 🚨
Students came to Jantar Mantar asking questions on education, paper leaks and accountability. What followed was pure police brutality.
A woman was beaten by male officers. Students were pushed, chased and hit. Samdish himself took lathis while recording what was happening.
Even after being hit, he kept saying: this is not about media privilege. No citizen should be beaten like this in their own city.
This was the state crushing dissent in full public view.
Jantar Mantar became the place where students asked for dialogue and power answered with lathis.
I apologise to all our supporters, especially the girls who were brutally beaten by male police officers.
We could have done better. I could have done better to protect you from the inhumane actions of the Delhi Police.
To protect one Dharmendra Pradhan, who is responsible for the deaths of more than 20 students, the Govt was willing to spill the blood of many more young students.
If you were injured and see this, please DM me. I want to speak to you personally and apologise.
We will keep fighting for all of you.
Imagine studying for years to become a police officer, clearing one of the toughest exams, passing physical tests, medicals, and rigorous training... only to end up bootlicking politicians. What a tragic waste of merit.
Dear students of India, after all this settles down, please ask accountability from your parents too. They are the ones who chose and will again choose this poisonous govt. Revolution must start from home.
Damn. I almost forgot that tonight those police officers will go home, sit with their children, and for a brief moment, feel the weight of what they did today. They’ll try to justify it, tell themselves they were just following orders, and somehow push the guilt aside.
But when they finally lie down in bed, in that quiet moment when there are no uniforms, no crowds, and no commands to hide behind, sleep may not come so easily. Their conscience will remind them that one day their own children will grow up, and one day they themselves will retire. And when that day comes, their children too will have to live under the very same police system they helped shape today.
Viral allegation by @PMFNEWS that goons were deployed along with the @DelhiPolice - they assaulted students & protesters (in this case for just asking a question)
I'm sure that Delhi Police spokesperson will have an explanation (like this man is their Hamza or something) However - are plainclothes cops allowed to sport gold earrings? Cool perk!
(see the brutality of this goon / policeman below 👇🏼)
🚨 ABHIJEET STOPS THE MARCH TO SAVE STUDENTS FROM THE GOVERNMENT'S LATHIS 🚨
REPORTER: WHY WAS THE PARLIAMENT MARCH STOPPED?
ABHIJEET: STUDENTS WERE BEING BEATEN BRUTALLY. HEADS WERE BLEEDING, AND MANY SUFFERED INJURIES TO THEIR HANDS AND LEGS. THEY ANSWERED OUR CALL, SO THEIR SAFETY WAS OUR RESPONSIBILITY.
REPORTER: WAS THE PROTEST PEACEFUL?
ABHIJEET: IT WAS COMPLETELY PEACEFUL. THE DELHI POLICE RESORTED TO FORCE FIRST, CREATED PANIC, AND THEN BLAMED THE CROWD. THIS BRUTALITY IS WHY SONAM SIR WILL CONTINUE HIS FAST.
REPORTER: WHAT HAPPENED AFTER TALKS BEGAN?
ABHIJEET: THE GOVERNMENT INVITED US FOR TALKS ON ONE SIDE WHILE POLICE CONTINUED LATHI-CHARGING STUDENTS ON THE OTHER. IF WE SHOWED MATURITY BY STOPPING THE MARCH, WHERE WAS THEIR HUMANITY? 🔥
Dr Gitanjali Angmo at Jantar Mantar a short while back. The stage at the protest site was dismantled by #Delhi police a few hours ago.
