A moment I will never forget ♡!
In Munich (Day 2), Jungkook sang the "ARIRANG" part together with ARMYs for the very first time. His voice is so beautiful and unique ♡ I will never forget this moment ♡!
The meaning behind DIADEM (the crown) 👑 from BTS special concept for D'FESTA: THE ORIGIN EXHIBITION
"The ancient Greek statue 'Diadoumenos' depicts a victorious young man tying a band around his head with his own hands. This band is known as a 'DIADEM.' Originally, it was a simple piece of cloth used to keep hair and sweat away, but it gradually became a symbol of victory and excellence.
Because the victor places the DIADEM on his head with his own hands, this band symbolizes the recognition and acceptance of an achievement accomplished through his own efforts, rather than an honor granted to him by others.
BTS's achievements cannot be measured by awards and records alone. The years of training, the numerous decisions made behind the scenes, and their determination to push beyond their limits have shaped who they are today.
Long before their success became visible to everyone, they were building the discipline and resilience that brought them to where they stand today.
And like the victorious young man placing the crown of victory on his head with his own hands, the position BTS has reached today did not come from the outside; it is the fruit of years of dedication and achievements earned through their own efforts."
Very true. And that also goes for the language we use here. Insults have no place here.
And as an international fandom, we should make an effort to use polite standard language to avoid misunderstanding and to make it easy to translate.💜

#LyricsOfBTS — Hold Me Tight (Album: The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt.1)
I think what makes Hold Me Tight so devastating is that the narrator isn't just trying to escape a breakup; they're trying to find the person they were before the relationship became bigger than them. It's about recognising that a relationship is falling apart, regretting the things you could have done differently, and still desperately wanting the person to stay. What makes it heartbreaking is that the narrator can feel goodbye approaching, yet they aren't ready to let go.
“술잔을 비우니 그리움이 차는구나
As I empty my glass, it gets filled up with my longing for you”
There's a contradiction here, the narrator empties their glass, only for longing to fill the space. It's almost as if trying to empty themselves of their feelings only makes the absence more apparent. The lyrics then move into regret over the arguments they wish they had given in during. Sometimes, winning an argument feels important until you realise what it has cost you. The narrator is left wondering whether being right was worth creating this distance.
“나의 백지에 널 좀 덧칠했을 뿐인데
All I did was to just paint you over my white canvas
정신 차려보니 이미 한 폭의 그림이 돼
As I come to my senses, I realize it’s already a beautiful drawing”
This is such a beautiful metaphor for falling in love without realising how completely someone will change your life. The narrator thought they were simply adding another person to their world, only to discover that this person had become the entire picture. And now, losing them means more than losing a relationship. How do you remove someone from a painting when their presence has influenced every colour?
“너와 난 핸드폰
You and I are like a cellphone
떨어지면 고장 날 걸 너도 알잖아
When it falls, you know it’ll break.”
A cellphone connects people, but it's also fragile. This comparison captures the contradiction in their relationship, the narrator and his lover are deeply connected, yet vulnerable to being broken apart. The narrator seems to understand how easily their connection could fall apart, appealing to the other person as though they both know how much damage another separation could cause.
“너의 체취만이 날 온전하게 해
Only the smell of you can complete me”
Scent can bring someone back to us through memory, making their presence feel almost tangible even when they're absent. But the word 온전하게 — whole or complete — adds another layer. The narrator's sense of completeness has become attached to another person. They don't just miss them, they're struggling to imagine themselves without them.
“꽉 잡아줘 날 안아줘
Hold me tight. Hug me
Can you trust me, can you trust me, can you trust me”
The question of trust changes the meaning of the title. The narrator isn't asking for affection alone, they're asking whether the relationship can still be saved. The embrace becomes a plea for reassurance - do you still believe in me, and are you still willing to stay? They can ask to be held, but they cannot force the other person to trust them. That uncertainty is what makes the repetition so desperate.
“여전히 너에게선 빛이 나
You still shine bright
여전히 향기 나는 꽃 같아
You still feel like a fragrant flower”
The word 여전히 — still — stands out. Despite everything that's gone wrong, the narrator still sees the other person as beautiful. His feelings haven't disappeared just because the relationship has become painful. But the flower imagery becomes more complicated later, when the narrator is willing to embrace the rose despite its thorns. The person they love is still beautiful to them, even when loving them might hurt.
“너 없인 숨을 쉴 수 없어 난
I can’t breathe without you
너 없인 아무것도 아냐 난
I’m nothing without you”
The imagery becomes increasingly absolute. Earlier, the other person transformed the narrator's world, now, their absence seems to threaten the narrator's very sense of self. This is emotional dependence expressed at its most extreme. The narrator has become so entangled in the relationship that they struggle to imagine a life outside it. The tragedy is that the person who once made them feel whole has also become the person whose absence makes them feel incomplete.
“장미 같은 니 품에 찔릴 각오로 다시 널 안아
With my mind determined to be pricked by a thorn on rose-like you, I hold you again”
The rose is beautiful, but it can hurt you. The narrator knows that returning to this person might mean experiencing pain, yet they're willing to accept it if it means being close again. The word 각오 carries a sense of readiness or determination, making this feel like a conscious choice rather than an accidental consequence. They would rather risk being hurt than face the certainty of losing the person entirely.
“이별이 밀물처럼 내게 떠밀려오는 걸 대면해
I face our parting that comes to me like the rising tide”
A tide advances gradually, covering more and more of the shore until the familiar space begins to disappear. The narrator can feel the breakup approaching, especially as the other person's expression grows colder. They aren't blindsided by the separation; they're watching it happen and struggling to accept it. Knowing goodbye is coming doesn't make them any more prepared to let go.
“말하지 마 떠나지 마 조용히 나를 안아줘 girl
Don’t say anything, don’t leave me, hold me quietly girl”
By the ending, the narrator isn't asking to win an argument or even demanding an explanation. They simply want to be held. Earlier, the embrace represented a chance to restore trust; now, it feels like a way to postpone goodbye. Words might confirm what they're afraid of, so they ask for silence instead. They want one last moment of closeness before they have to face what comes next.
That's what makes Hold Me Tight so heartbreaking. The canvas shows how completely someone can transform your world, the fragile cellphone captures the vulnerability of the connection, the rose represents the pain you're willing to endure, and the rising tide becomes the goodbye you can see approaching but cannot stop. Every image leads back to the same plea,
the narrator knows they might be losing this person, but they're still reaching for them. Sometimes, the hardest part of losing someone is watching goodbye approach and still asking them to hold you a little tighter.
This. Idk if it has been the spread of extreme jingoist sentiments or the algorithm that in twt army spaces I am now seeing so much xenophobia, name calling and slurs, even as we attempt to self regulate and push for army etiquette to unite us. We have become a kpop fandom now
ARMY etiquette was something we used to unify us.
We are such a melting pot of cultures, races, ages and interests that when meeting at concerts we'd have these written AND unspoken rules that dictated the way we treated each other and the guys.
I have experienced different concert etiquettes in different continents and I have respected all of them.
When to be loud, when to be quieter, when to jump, when not to, I respect each countries' customs inside the stadium.
But ARMY ettiquette goes beyond a concert and whether you are at the mosh pit/pogos or not.
That one deals with respecting the members, respecting ARMYs and taking care of each other at all times.
I will always advocate for ARMY ettiquette anywhere, at a concert, at a museum, at a restaurant, on the streets, on a bus, on an airplane. Everywhere.
No matter how close the members or ARMYs seem to be, respect and consideration comes first.
That's how I see it.
That's an integral part of being an ARMY to me.
Back in 2015. Now in 2026.
Nothing's changed for me.
We didn’t realise then, when we watched this concert, that they’d announce their official military enlistment two days later. Our Bangtan have come such a long way.
