@DrLucyDouglas Well, I don’t know is the answer Lucy. Bsc training includes respiratory and cardiovascular modules. But not as a form of diagnosis, more 2* care. It would be around clinical reasoning of what and why.

@DrLucyDouglas It certainly isn’t Lucy. Naturally staff should not be recruited without an adequate training and supervision programme in place.

@DrLucyDouglas There are recruitment and training issues Lucy. Experienced FCP are hard to recruit. There is no consensus on training / qualifications (dr have 3yrs of ST) and very little supervision. Junior Msk are not prepared for the role.

@DrLucyDouglas TBH Lucy I find their concerns. If they don’t tell me I try to explore indirectly through obj exam so less formality. “Sometimes people research their Sx” / “any friends / family with similar Sx?” Ideas & expectations then fall into place.
