If we fail to take care of the people who make this city what it is, if we lose those people, we lose everything. Please make it to the polls tomorrow! We must build a city government that serves the working class of this city!
*We have a backup indoors plan at Culture Park in case it's too cold to be outside. Make sure to bring your masks and proof of vaccination or negative test.
You’re invited! Join me Saturday night for an Election Night Party at Culture Park! Outdoors. Proof of vaccine or negative test result from within the last 72 hours required. I can’t wait to celebrate our people-powered movement.
Too often culture bearers' contributions are valued more than they are. If I’m elected, that stops. I will always listen to and prioritize the needs of our culture bearers and consider the impacts of any legislation on our cultural community.
Nothing about this campaign has been what we expected so we understood when @musicculture504 couldn’t release their candidate questionnaire after Ida. Culture is incredibly important and our culture bearers deserve to be prioritized in this election! So let's talk culture!
Tourists are here b/c of our culture, not flashy (& whitewashed) commercials. We need to make sure that hotel taxes go towards improving our city services. It's inexcusable that the thousands of folks who serve tourists every day don't have a city government that serves them.
Special announcement! Join me and my dear friend, activist, actress, and model Indya Moore tomorrow at 7 CST for a very special IG Live. We’ll catch up, talk about the election, and maybe take a few questions. I can’t wait! Hope you’ll join us.
It’s advocates like Syrita Steib, whose work has helped hundreds of women returning to life after incarceration, who are helping us to reimagine the criminal legal system entirely. She gives me hope that we can & will forge a brighter future for New Orleans.
