@Suzie_Taka We were in the NICU for 21 days this past April. It was so hard and I feel your pain. Time seemed to standstill. Keep reminding yourself this is temporary and you WILL be cuddling your babies at home soon. Also, remember to eat real meals! Sending you โค
Congrats to all the Medical Physicists who wrote their certification exam this weekend! To celebrate, I got my husband even more readings with the Feynman lectures on physics set. Now we wait to hear if he moves on to the oral exam stage next! @MedphysCA@ccpm_can@Mikej_Moore
I had no idea how broken our home care system was until experiencing it with my Dad. Thanks to CBC for this episode to show the reality. Home care is unreliable & forces loved ones into expensive LTC homes. Time for a new model that isn't driven by large developers @fordnation
We expose Canadaโs broken home care system that's failing families and workers. Plus, we travel to Denmark to show a better, more dignified and more affordable way.

Had a ton of fun with @HarryStebbings. A British accent is such an advantage for an interviewer. The whole thing felt very sophisticated. https://t.co/WlLxE5cu5f
@intellijoint Congrats @ArmenBakirtzian and @intellijoint team! You are doing big things and making a huge impact on patients. Can't wait to see what comes next and am cheering you on! โค๏ธ
@JustinKrulicki It's a surprisingly fun word game where a different 5 letter word comes out each day that we all have to guess! Look up Wordle and play ๐
It's so sad to see everyone confined to their rooms at LTC homes with the doors shut. Visited my Dad yesterday and he is also losing a sense of where he is or what's going on. The impact this has on residents' mental health in their final stages of life is just heartbreakingโน๏ธ
83 year old Jennifer Brown has been confined to her long term care room for a month. Sheโs triple vaxed and doesnโt have covid and sheโs angry | CTV News https://t.co/CWH56r8VKE
Many good points on this list. This pandemic has shown us how invaluable healthcare and education workers are and we need to hire more of them! I'm especially in awe of the hardworking PSWs I've seen at my Dad's LTC home but want to see them get paid MUCH more.
Itโs time:
1. Admit we live with the virus
2. Permanently expand ICUโs
3. Hire new healthcare staff
4. Provide free rapid-tests
5. Min 1yr of Business supports
6. Get $10 daycare in place now
7. Further vaccine availability
8. Support non-profits
9. Be kind
10. See #9
Reflected on 2021 and prepared for the NY w @YearCompass. Encourage others to use their journal too. My highlights:

We need more options available for cancer care in Waterloo Region so patients don't have to travel long distance for treatments. THIS ๐is a great initiative to help us make that a reality one day! @grhospitalkw@CancerCare_ON
Just got my audio copy of The Burnout Epidemic by @JenLeighMoss! Organizations and leaders need to stop the chronic stress cycle far too many employees are suffering through. Excited to dig into this new research on how we can all work towards a healthier and happier workplace.
