@Eric_Schmitt Ranked choice voting actually solves the potential confusion issue. If people cant tell which Dan is which, even with middle initials, they just rank them 1 and 2. Whoever wins will have majority support from the people of Alaska.

It's a missed opportunity for more people centered investment in Midtown close to public transit, which would produce more tax revenue for the city than a data center. Also, it'll gobble up electricity and water

@scottlincicome So the store isn't government run though it is subsidized. And this isn't government failing where the market would succeed, the market had failed this neighborhood. Instead of a poorly stocked store they had no store. Why did the market fail? Low buying power and high costs
@pcdebol@ArmandDoma Hi, the percentage chart is more useful in understanding the trends as it shows the focus of investment and growth was services. Older manufacturing plants and workers effectively aged out of the economy which is why the raw numbers lag. Also the raw number y axis is misleading
