@BrerOswald Zootopia desperately needed to be a musical. You're just watching these characters do stuff for reasons you don't buy. Lots of Disney movies have this problem but songs let you cheat a having the characters literally tell you how they feel but it works with some good music.
@TheoHCH@xenocryptsite@johnlk_80@davidcrockett08 Yes, a lot of characters came from Cockrum’s ideas for the Legion of Superheroes. You can see some Storm and Wolverine DNA and a fully formed Nightcrawler.
@CentristMadness Also legit one of the worst interviewers I’ve ever seen. Always sounds like he’s reading questions off of cards that were written for him that he has zero knowledge about or curiosity behind.
@fishin4l0ve@xenocryptsite@prinxeXOX There was definitely an undercurrent of thirst behind her popularity and people can say its a bad thing but honestly that's how characters still take off today. There were also plenty of people who the character deeply resonated with:
@fishin4l0ve@xenocryptsite@prinxeXOX Not only that but people in the '70s were genuinely enthused about characters from different countries + perspectives. It was a big deal that Colossus was Russian!
@Exalted_Speed Lee’s lifelong dream wasn’t the great American novel, he spent decades trying to succeed with his true passion project of books with humorously captioned photos
@SwannMarcus89 Healing factor was brutal. I could deal with psycho Victor as a neat alternate take but the monster healing faster and more painlessly than Wolverine was so corny and unearned and added nothing. The monster needs to be mortal, it's part of life.
@Empty_America What about Kindergarten? I generally agree with this but my kid just misses the cutoff and it feels like a huge waste of time to spend another year coloring and tracing their name at pre-school.
@Exalted_Speed 2009 is the same year Laird sold to Nick, probably the peak of his cranky possessiveness of TMNT. His blog is fascinating, tons Q&As and old e-mails giving notes on 2003 scripts reveal a guy who was really engaged with and invested in protecting his baby.
@vanillaopinions@mn007vevo Yes. I'm on old IBR (well, I was on SAVE) but will probably switch to RAP. It's worse because it's based on AGI but it at least doesn't let unpaid interest accumulate. The big thing giving me agita is whether they'll still allow you to exclude spousal income if you file seperate
@vanillaopinions@mn007vevo No reason whatsoever, there's just two tiers of IBR arbitrarily. Pre 2012 is 15%/25 year forgiveness, post is 10% and 20 years. Old IBR people had RePAYE as an option but not anymore.
@ImNotOwned Some form of IBR is baked in by legislation but no idea how that is gonna square with like, courts ruling that all forms of IBR are illegal the new admin dropping the case. My biggest hope is that Trump doesn't see it as a priority and they let it revert back to the old options.
@CentristMadness @Kosher_Butcher And even state polls are way off. Not one but two well-regarded polls in PA were caught doing weird likely voter models to turn a +4 Harris lead into a -1 deficit!
