I grew up in Akure, witnessed Baba Adefarati’s tenure, the famous life of the party governor, Agagu’s tenure, witnessed Aketi’s tenure and this their present governor, Aiyedatiwa too but none of them comes close to this man called Dr. Olusegun Mimiko popularly called Iroko.

During his tenure, students had free education, free transportations to school and get picked up and dropped off at the nearest bus stop to your house, school buildings were like beautiful both inside and outside and were furnished so well, pregnant mothers don’t pay a dime for delivery through the Abiye initiative, Ondo state was the cleanest state then, taxis look so neat like you traveled abroad, no drama after he left the office, no scandal flying up and down anywhere and he governed the state with so much passion.

Don’t know why he left politics, but sincerely, Mimiko is the definition of a leader we want in Nigeria at the top level.

With a weighty heart, on behalf of the entire Obidient family, I regret to announce the untimely passing of our dear sister and comrade, Hon. Clarita Ogar, who was the Labour Party House of Representatives candidate for Yala/Ogoja in the 2023 General elections.

I reached out to her family a few days ago and they informed me about the sad news. I want to again sincerely offer my condolences on behalf of my family and the Obidient family.

@clarita_ogar was not just a patriot but also a fearless woman who stood for justice and a better Nigeria.

May her soul rest in perfect peace, and may God give her family and all of us the fortitude to bear her sad, irreplaceable loss.
