Before the temporary ceasefire began Politico reported that the Biden administration was worried "that it would allow journalists broader access to Gaza and the opportunity to further illuminate the devastation there and turn public opinion on Israel."
They refuse to release helicopter footage of the killing of Tort. They refuse to release documents related to the investigation. The GBI director and the GSP captain have stepped down. The prosecutor has recused herself from the case. This is state terrorism. Dirty War tactics.
Bringing the goons in right before you vote to give them money against the wishes of 98% of the people who spoke. What would U.S. media say if this was happening in any other country?
Eric Adams just spent $750K on 2 new NYPD robot dogs- while forcing other agencies to cut 4% from budgets (on top of 3% a few months ago), adding to food insecurity, eviction crises etc.
The movement forced NYC to cancel "digi-dog" contract in 2021 under BdB. Time for that again

🧵RECAP OF CLINIC DEFENSE AND NEW NYPD TACTICS:
Yesterday morning, we were greeted by 70 members of NYPD’s notoriously violent SRG bearing arrest-ready zip ties.
They had barricaded all of Mott St to provide a taxpayer-funded escort to over 100 clinic harassers from St Pats.
This is what $36M means to libraries.
For context, it amounts to less than one-third of one-percent of the NYPD’s $11B budget.
To say we can’t afford it insults NYers’ intelligence, in addition to threatening our communities.
We absolutely cannot pass these cuts.
If you keep seeing stuff about Cop City but don’t know what it is, Atlanta officials want to bulldoze the historic Weelaunee Forest and build a $90,000,000 privately funded mock city where militarized police can train in urban warfare (explosives, tear gas, shooting ranges, etc.)
Abundance dies twice - in the field, and in memory. One of the greatest struggles facing all restoration-initiatives in conservation is the tyranny of low expectations. People begin complaining about beavers or wolves being overpopulated once their numbers reach over 1/80 km^2
so the cops opened fire, shot their own guy, killed an innocent forest defender, lied saying they were fired at first, then also lied about there not being bodycam footage.
So first friendly fire, then cops kill an Atlanta forest defender, then they try to say the defender shot first. A story we see cops try again and again. Despicable. Cop city will never be built.
