During a dinner with relatives, the topic of equality came up. I asked a male relative, “Are you a feminist?”

“No,” he said.

“A feminist is someone who believes that women deserve the same rights and opportunities as men. You’re not a feminist?” I asked.

“No!” he said, louder this time.

“But you have daughters. When they grow up, do you think they should be paid the same as men?” I asked.

“Of course,” he said.

“Then you’re a feminist,” I said.

“No, I am not!” he said.

“And that is NOT the definition of a feminist,” he added.

“Okay, let’s google it.” I googled it and read, “A feminist is someone who believes men and women should have equal rights and opportunities.”

His tween daughters gave me side eye.

They are dumping hydrogen peroxide into the Reflecting Pool to kill the algae.

I remember learning about this in science class. That's not going to fix the problem. A darker pool means more heat, and it's going to cause more algae blooms. a) it's a temporary fix, b) there are ducks in the Reflecting Pool that this will hurt, potentially kill, and c) This is what happens when you fire all the scientists.

I just watched a female comedian perform a solid three minutes of jokes about vaginal discharge nd a man got so uncomfortable he LEFT THE ROOM and actually SHUDDERED on his way out.
