Meet the Party for Socialism and Liberation ➡️
The PSL is a revolutionary organization dedicated to building a movement for socialism in the U.S.
It’s not just about what you’re against – capitalism, racism, war. It’s about what you’re for – a society where the needs and well-being of the people and planet are planned for and guaranteed. That’s called socialism.
It’s not enough to be angry – we must be organized! Join an organization and fight for the future we need and deserve!

The Juneteenth “Walk for Freedom" in Fort Worth is an annual 2.5 mile march, symbolizing the 2.5 years between the issue of the Emancipation Proclamation and when enslaved people were finally freed in Texas.
Opal Lee, a civil rights advocate whose lifelong advocacy resulted in Juneteenth becoming a federal holiday, leads the march every year.
BT spoke to this year’s march attendees about Juneteenth and the ongoing struggle for Black liberation.
It's specifically about the electrification of Russia, and Communist politicians who think they are too precious to actually study how electricity works before offering ridiculous opinions on the subject. It is not about Twitter Discourse Cycle 354678.
This quote is utterly meaningless unless you know who the "such Communists" are that Lenin is referring to, and people are gladly just dropping in whatever group happens to be pissing them off today in that position. Social media is so fun.
"We have many such Communists among us, and I would gladly swap dozens of them for one conscientious qualified bourgeois specialist."
- Vlladimir Lenin, 1921
On Wednesday, masked ICE agents conducted a series of arrests across Chicagoland – including at this courthouse in suburban Bridgeview, which is barred by local and state laws.
Chicago has seen an uptick in ICE activity in recent weeks, with local authorities largely absent from the scene. ICE likely conducted Wednesday's courthouse arrest without a judicial warrant, meaning the sheriffs present would have been legally obligated to prevent it.
BREAKING: United Auto Workers today passed a resolution at its convention, 321-287, to divest from Israeli bonds.
With nearly 400,000 members, UAW becomes the largest US union to officially divest from Israel.
The vote received support from a range of sectors, including a large number of Michigan auto delegates, in addition to legal services and higher education.
The original call for divestment came from a wildcat strike of 2,000 mainly Arab American workers at Chrysler’s Dodge Main in 1973. Amid the genocide in Gaza, pro-Palestinian labor groups and UAW locals renewed and intensified their campaign.
Speakers motivated for the resolution by citing the union’s legacy of divesting from South African apartheid in 1978.
The memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran marks the end of the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran, a war that failed to achieve any of its stated objectives.
Trump and Netanyahu set out to disarm Iran, bring down its government, and remake the region in their favor, and the whole world has watched them fall short of every one of those aims. Iran has emerged from the war stronger, its government intact and its geostrategic position improved, while the United States has been forced to concede to terms it had refused to consider for years.
The most powerful military on earth bombed a country for more than three months and could not impose its will. This will be remembered as a geostrategic defeat for U.S. imperialism.

✊🏾JUNETEENTH WEBINAR, THURS, JUNE 18, 8PM ET/5PM PT: Join us for a necessary webinar discussion on Juneteenth and the fight for Black liberation today.
Register: https://t.co/eo9t7cjLef
This June 19 marks 161 years since the last enslaved people in Galveston, Texas were officially declared free. All across the country, Juneteenth celebrations are commemorating this historic milestone of the Black liberation movement.
As Trump and the far-right ramp up their attacks on working people broadly in an attempt to rewrite our history and strip us of our civil rights entirely, we are confronted with a critical question: what must we do to end the war on Black America, once and for all?
Originally born from the struggle for abolition, Juneteenth was made into a federal holiday in 2021 in the aftermath of the valiant struggle against racist police terror. Juneteenth reminds us of the will that our people have always had to fight, the role that fight has historically played in achieving the basic rights we have today, and the necessary role of organization in our ongoing fights for freedom.
Hear and discuss with PSL organizers and cultural workers Claudia De la Cruz (NYC), Jasmine Nicole Williams (Atlanta), Rachel Domond (Houston) and Saidi Moseley (NYC) on the real history of the struggle for Black liberation in the U.S. and what it will fundamentally require of all of us to achieve it today.

🚨PSL STATEMENT — Two cowards set off an explosive outside the home of Ald. Byron Sigcho Lopez at 12:45am on Saturday. We stand with Byron against this act of anti-socialist terrorism!
The explosion, which occurred while Byron's three children slept inside, shattered windows and damaged the facade of the building.
Video evidence shows two men exiting an SUV to place and light what appears to be a large firework on the corner outside his home. Thankfully, no one was injured.
This should be seen for what it is — an act of political terror meant to intimidate an independent socialist.
Without speculating, this attack comes as Byron is fighting the Democratic machine for ballot access. Byron is currently running for Congress in Illinois fourth district as an independent socialist. He is fighting to abolish ICE terror, for average Americans to have access to healthcare and to end the billionaire control of society. There is a long history of political terror against the socialist movement that seeks to extinguish working people's dreams of a better world.
But they will not succeed. Instead of backing down, we will organize harder. Instead of shutting up, we will shout louder.
Instead of submitting to fear, we will build power. The bombs of the past did not stop the labor movement from winning the eight hour day, or the Civil Rights Movement from expanding democracy and they will not stop the socialist movement.
We call on all our comrades, allies, and community members to stand with Ald. Byron Sigcho Lopez at this moment!
Protests erupted outside of the Senatobia, Mississippi Wal-Mart demanding justice for one-year-old Kohen Wiley. The officer shot into a vehicle with Wiley and two adults Sunday, June 14 after responding to a call over a shoplifting incident, killing the child.
Police responded by deploying tear gas at the crowd.
“When the moment comes to choose between comfort and conscience, choose conscience.”
Pro-Palestine activist Mahmoud Khalil delivered a speech to Stanford graduates at a "People's Commencement" Sunday after their mass walkout during graduation.
The graduates' walkout occurred during Google CEO Sundar Pichai's commencement speech, as a protest against the tech company's contracts with the IDF, CBP, and ICE.
Khalil, who was detained last year by ICE for over three months for his role as lead negotiator at Columbia University's Gaza Solidarity Encampments, urged the students to keep building the movement for Palestine, assuring them, "History remembers those who speak up."
This year marked the third People’s Commencement at Stanford, organized by students and activist groups.
No individual should be allowed to accumulate a billion dollars worth of wealth, much less a trillion. That wealth is created by working people, and it is our right to put that wealth under the democratic control of working people.
DSA is essentially a wealthy, white, highly educated movement which very carefully selects candidates from their 0.00001% members of color to try and sell the ideas to black and brown people who are historically extremely averse to socialism
The billionaires don’t value anyone who isn’t making money for them. This shows especially in their attitude towards Social Security and retired workers who receive Social Security benefits. The billionaires think: “If you aren’t working to enrich our profits, what’s the point? Why are we wasting good money on you?”
A recent spate of attacks in the mainstream media indicate serious attacks on Social Security may be on the horizon, trying to pit younger workers against older workers, all while every worker is being squeezed to the breaking point by compounding economic crisis.

👼🏾JUSTICE FOR KOHEN KARTIER WILEY!
On Sunday, June 14, police in Senatobia, Mississippi responded to a dispatch that ultimately led to the murder of one-year-old, Kohen Kartier Wiley.
In the same week that we saw the advent of the world's first trillionaire, a toddler was murdered for a single pack of pampers. There is absolutely no world in which the callous violence perpetrated by Sentatobia police officers was warranted nor is defensible — least of all for the alleged theft of diapers.
The profit of the world goes to line the pockets of billionaires instead of providing safety nets for families such as childcare, healthcare, education, food access, and thriving wages.
Kohen’s family and his community at-large are justifiably outraged at this senseless and reckless act of undue, state-sanctioned violence. The people have vehemently condemned the incident and have taken to the streets in protest to demand justice for Kohen.
We condemn the system that not only allowed Kohen’s murder to happen, but perpetuates the narrative that anyone but the killer cops and a ruthless capitalist, white supremacist police state are at fault.
The people demand accountability, transparency, and an end to racist police violence!
