Let me spell it out, the filthy truth they’re busy airbrushing from the history books like the cowards they are.
When our ancestors rocked up at the Cape, they didn’t steal a damn thing. They sat down with the only tribes actually there; the Khoi and the San, and cut straight-up trade and sales deals, man to man.
Almost 2 hundred years later the Zulus, fresh off their own migration south to grab land in Natal, came crawling with another “agreement.” But these slapgat bastards were too lazy, too spineless, and too useless to go fetch their own stolen cattle. So they begged Piet Retief and his Voortrekker men to do the hard, bloody work for them; recover the herd and hand it back like good little errand boys.
In return? The Zulu king promised the Afrikaners land. Fair payment.
Our men delivered. They rode out, got the cattle, and brought them straight to the king’s feet.
Then that two-faced savage ambushed them, surrounded them like hyenas, and hacked every last one to pieces in a screaming orgy of blood and betrayal. No warning. No honour. Just pure, gutless slaughter.
So tell me again, genius, whose land is it? And who the hell actually owes reparations to whom? The backstabbing, cattle-stealing, deal-breaking savages, or the men who built the country while getting butchered for trusting them?
The dispute between the USA and South Africa should be resolved urgently. This cannot be achieved by falsely claiming that the dispute is the result of “disinformation,” as @PresidencyZA Ramaphosa does. The focus should rather be on finding solutions to real issues of dispute, such as the disregard for property rights, farm murders, and discrimination through race-based legislation.
In this document, Secretary Marco Rubio states that the ANC-led South African government should take responsibility for its own failings rather than “scapegoating its own citizens.” @afriforum agrees with this and remains committed to helping find constructive solutions to the dispute.
The United States is forging ahead with a new G20. South Africa operated with spite, division, and radical agendas that failed to produce economic growth. America's G20 will propel us forward with innovation, entrepreneurship and perseverance that makes America great and provides a roadmap of prosperity to the world. We're ready to lead the way in Miami. https://t.co/9SVTRUtAlu
Be proud White South African.
To my fellow white South Africans, our culture, our identity, and our contributions to this vibrant nation are sources of strength that we must embrace without shame. In a world where social pressures often cast a shadow over our existence, I urge us to stand tall, unapologetically proud of who we are and what we have achieved.
Our heritage is woven into the fabric of South Africa’s complex history. It is a tapestry of resilience, ingenuity, and perseverance. From the arts to agriculture, from science to community-building, white South Africans have left an indelible mark on this land.
Our forefathers, like all humans, were not infallible. They made mistakes, some grave, in a past shaped by the turbulent currents of their time. Yet, we are not bound by their errors, nor shall we carry the weight of history as a perpetual burden. Their legacy is not our identity. We are defined by our actions, our values, and our vision for a shared future.
Being proud of our culture and heritage does not mean we distance ourselves from other cultures. Far from it. We are a people who warmly invite others to share in our lives—whether over a braai, in business, or in everyday moments of connection, but only with those who do not harbor hatred toward us. As a community, we are inclusive, embracing the diversity that makes South Africa unique. Let us continue to build these bridges, to laugh, work, and live alongside all who are willing to reciprocate respect and goodwill, while holding our own identity with greater pride. Always do the right thing, always strive to do better, and always respect others, regardless of their culture.
Today, global narratives often demand that we diminish our pride, be ashamed, as if our heritage is inherently flawed. I reject this fully. Our culture—our languages, traditions, and stories—deserves celebration, not suppression. We are Afrikaans, English, Portuguese, French, Dutch, German and more, each thread adding depth to South Africa’s mosaic. To be proud does not mean to exclude or diminish others; it means recognizing our worth in the collective tapestry of this nation.
Let us honor our achievements: the farmers who feed our people, the artists who inspire, the entrepreneurs who drive progress. Let us teach our children to hold their heads high, to know their roots, and to contribute meaningfully. Shame has no place in our hearts when we strive for unity and understanding. As white South Africans, we are not just part of the past; we are architects of the future.
I am not ashamed to be a White South African.
AJ Venter.
@MaryTilesTexas My father was a Tiler and a bit of a perfectionist.
You are the only lady I am aware of in the field.
I find your work immaculate, but more importantly, your positive attitude towards life and work, is refreshing.
