There's a critical inflection point that occurs during the day..
Where the busyness of the mind..
The tension in the body..
& the amount of resistance in the heart..
Reaches a critical level
Here you have two choices:
-----------------------------------------------
1. "Push through"
"Come on..you've got goals to meet"
"I have to finish this otherwise I won't be able to face myself"
"Don't you care about your future?"
Are some of the common thoughts that arise at this point
So you keep grinding..
But often just end up shutting down and resorting to:
> Doomscrolling
> Social media binging
> Potentially spiraling into unhealthy coping mechanisms
This is pure burnout fuel
It's not sustainable
It's operating from a place of lack
Where you think trying harder, doing more = better results
Ignorant to a simple fact:
Success doesn't equal happiness, happiness equals success
So what's the solution?
---------------------------------------------
2. Recognizing + Relax + Recharge + Refresh
Recognize the point where things are becoming painful
And simply take 2-10 mins to either:
> Do a mini meditation
> Focus on your breath at your desk
Breathing in:
"I completely accept this moment"
Breathing out:
"I am completely at peace"
> Do some kind of progressive muscle relaxation
> A round of WIM HOF
> 4-7-8 breathing
> Box breathing
Whatever it may be - Recognize that giving yourself a bit of time to refresh your brain, mind and heart..
Is - over time - far more productive than simply pushing through and flirting with burnout
Implementing this throughout the day at these vital inflection points..
Is the difference between ending the day on the brink of burnout..
Vs feeling energized and empowered
Slow down..
Tap in
Let go
Gratitude allows you to see the abundance you already possess..
A simple practice of waking up and stating:
> I am grateful for a new day
> I am grateful for this life
> I am grateful for this very moment
Calms the mind..
Opens your heart..
Gently brings you into presence
You're rushing through life to reach the point where you allow yourself to be content
Result?
> Pain
> Stress
> Contraction
Do this instead:
> Slow down 20%
> Treat everything you're doing as sacred
Watch the mind calm down..
The heart open
Joy flow
Mindfulness is the highest leverage skill you can master..
Why?
Simply:
It makes all other skills you learn both faster AND more enjoyable
It's a 10x XP multiplier
(All while reducing stress and burnout by 95%)
This is the skillful and smooth path to mastery
The world is a mirror of our innermost beliefs
(Many of which are unconscious)
And from being down and out at 18..
I reached complete self-acceptance/love at 22..
Not long after entering this new reality..
I met the woman who now carries my child..
We spent 3 years together in Uni..
Blissfully revealing in relatively responsibility-free student life
1 and a half years apart..
Separated by 6686 miles..
We decided to try to make it work..
The UK seemed bleak..
Malaysia (her country) pays diddly squat
We landed on Japan..
I still remember the resistance..
The fear..
The eventual excitement and acceptance..
The utter bewilderment of stepping off the bus in the middle of Nagasaki with just a suitcase..
The sheer volume of people, places and neon signs rattling by country boy brain
The first month spent in a hostel surrounded by 12 others..
The next 3 years living together in a 19 square meter flat on top of a mountain..
The walls so painfully paper-thin that we could hear our neighbor scratching his arse at night
The nightly commute home at 10PM..
Having to walk through the bar and drinking area..
Crawling with creepy men and cockroaches in equal amount..
The blissful summer camps set up and run by our beautiful school for the kids..
(With me melting in 37 degree 100% humidity Japanese peak summers)
The eager eyes of students..
From 2 years old babies to 83 yr old ex military engineers..
That one time I had caught Swine flu..
And struggled through my final few classes delirious with a 40 degree temperature..
Only to have my final student be a very eccentric Doctor...
Who cancelled the class after shoving his stethoscope up my shirt and swept me off to the nearest pharmacy..
Bought me medicine and a thermometer - Then drove me back home where I rested and refused to take medicine for the next 4 days..
Believing my Meditation training had made me untouchable..
Next came another 8 months of long distance..
Eventually we settled in Osaka for our final 4 years in Japan..
We had massively upgraded our apartment..
Life was sweet..
But there was one major problem:
My wife wanted kids
I wanted to leave the material world
Eventually..
Due to some additional awakenings and subsequent letting go..
I decided that I'll simply have both
After all..
Is the mind in world?
Or is the world in mind?
I came to the conclusion it was the latter
And that ALL IS MIND
And there's no real reason for me to lack anything I require beyond a misunderstanding of the infinite abundance that we're all inherently connected to
(That may just be my cope for my wife being more stubborn than me and convincing me to do things on her terms)
I've made it sound rather simple and smooth thus far..
It was anything but..
We had cataclysmic fights..
Both being stubborn and strong-willed..
Both believing that we're right..
And yet..
As any man knows..
(if he wants to maintain some semblance of sanity)
The wife is ultimately always right
And now we begin our next chapter..
As we move into our new abode for the foreseeable future tomorrow..
And it's all worked out rather beautifully
I've set up my own coaching business..
It's been incredible to facilitate and empower people to go through profound changes on the level of mind and heart
We've gained location freedom and a degree of abundance that's made everything relatively easy
After 11 years of "figuring it out" we've developed a harmony and household bliss that is incredible and nourishing..
And most amazingly..
Our daughter will be born soon
We just got the C-section date..
(Required due to a previous surgery)
And although it's slightly ahead of schedule..
It also happens to be the same birthday as me
Which made me sob for 20 mins in Joy upon hearing it
It's been a hell of a journey..
And the point of it all is as stated in the beginning:
The world is a mirror of your conscious and unconscious beliefs:
If you wish to find love..
You must first become lovable in your own mind
If you wish for an abundant life..
You must first embody this with all your being
(And reject any idea of lack that tries to chime in and rob you of your inherent infinity)
All that you require is already within you..
Your seat of personal power is the present moment
Peak performance lies beyond your sense of self
Awareness penetrates out from the heart beyond the confines of your skin as you settle into the state of:
"I AM"
Embrace the mystery
The direct taste of a profound truth:
You are powerful beyond measure
When you operate like this the Universe conspires in your favor
And the pieces of the puzzle seem to fall effortlessly into place
It all starts and ends in mind..
And that's why any work done
(Especially the initial stage which requires you to come to a place of complete self-love and acceptance)
Is rewarded 100x
Step into your glory
Want for nothing..
As it is all already within you

You believe you have to sacrifice to get what you want..
And this is true..
But the Master Alchemist realizes a simple yet profound truth
(One which may have eluded you if your POV is too narrow..
And honestly..
This only occurred to me today on the way to the gym)
What if it wasn't your:
> Serenity
> Well-being
> Family time
> Mental health
That were required for you to achieve your goals..
But instead..
(And here is where the Master Key to actual sustainable success lies)
You made a conscious choice to cut away your:
> Fear
> Doubt
> Anxiety
> Restlessness
> Perfectionism
> Need to micro-manage everything
And embraced your seat of personal power
The place in which ALL SUBSTANCE is your nature by default
Where flow, joy and an all pervading peace become your natural state
And you operate with an ease, perfection and non-attachment that defies logic
Where is this fabled land you may ask?
The answer is right in front of your nose:
THE PRESENT MOMENT
All that you ever had
And will ever have
Drop your desires and aversions
And take your seat among the immortals
"Ever desireless, one can see the mystery;
ever desiring, one sees only the manifestations.
And the mystery itself is the doorway
to all understanding."

The Principles I used to set up my dream life and 3.5x my Corporate Japan Salary in 2 months:
The mind has two primary functions:
The conscious & the subconscious
Understanding the roles of each is vital to unlocking ease and perfection in your daily life
(This comes in the form of flow, presence and personal power)
Consider this quote:
"Upon what do ease and perfection depend? Ease and perfection depend entirely upon the degree in which we cease to depend upon the conscious mind."
And yet..
There's a habitual tendency to overly rely on the conscious mind in our daily lives..
The result?
> Lack
> Stress
> Tension
> Forcing
> Disharmony
> Limiting our creative potential
> Being frozen "like a deer in the headlights"
In this thread you'll learn about WHEN and HOW to use the conscious mind..
So that you may let go into ease and perfection in ever greater degrees
Let's dive in:
The 3 Roles of the Conscious mind:
1/ Choosing the highest leverage/ROI task to move you towards your highest good:
The conscious mind has the faculty of discrimination, of choosing where and how you want to direct your energies
If you're operating in alignment..
Then this should be an activity that moves you closer to what you've identified as being the vision of your highest self
This may look something like this:
"I have 20 mins spare..
Should I spend it browsing on my phone (ending up in a contracted state of reduced personal power)..
Or spend it focusing on my breath
(Resulting in a state of increased personal power and a collected state of mind)"
Making small choices like this on a daily basis have a massive cumulative effect over the course of a week/year/lifetime
Simply put - Using the conscious mind to choose a high leverage/ROI task is how genuine change and evolution occurs over a longer period of time
But here's where most go wrong..
Once you've chosen your task..
Don't try to control..
To force..
Let go of all concept of "doing"
And act effortlessly
Watch as you slip into a precise state of nourishing flow
We've all been there when trying to force or control something..
Caught in an agonizing whirlwind of thoughts and conflicting intentions..
Bypass all the struggle..
Find the highest ROI task and execute ruthlessly by letting go and surrendering control
It's that simple
2/ Guarding the Subconscious mind
The subconscious mind is inherently connected to "all substance"
AKA
ALL HEALTH
ALL WEALTH
ALL LOVE
The degree to which you channel this depends upon:
A/ The degree to which you program your subconscious
B/ The degree to which you remove all thoughts of lack, doubt and disharmony
C/ The degree to which you recognize your true nature as infinite
As such..
It's vital to guard the subconscious mind from all external sources that may seek to rob you of your personal power
> TV
> News
> Social media
> Other people
They all seek to program you in a manner which is incredibly disempowering
The unguarded subconscious mind will take in these ideas and accept them as fact
(Manifesting conditions mirroring that which you've unconsciously accepted)
This is where Mindfulness comes into play:
Constant vigilance
An unceasing watch of the castle gates of the mind
It is of upmost importance to filter what you allow into your subconscious mind so that you may cultivate conditions of abundance
3/ Imprinting your will (that which you desire) onto the Subconscious:
As mentioned
The subconscious has access to "all substance"
As such..
In order to manifest that which you desire..
You must state it unceasingly using the conscious mind to "imprint" your will onto the subconscious
In moments of "spacing out" or when we slip into unconscious patterns of thought..
99% of the time you're replying trauma based thought loops which have a central theme:
Lack (I'm not good enough > I don't deserve XYZ etc)
This is inherently disempowering and a result of "faulty programming"
Any time you become aware of such patterns of thought you MUST counteract them by stating the opposite:
"I'm not good enough" > "I can and will achieve anything I put my mind to"
"I'm not lovable > "My very substance is pure LOVE"
"I am limited" > "I AM ALL HEALTH ALL WEALTH ALL LOVE"
etc.
By doing this overtime you'll start to notice how this "new inner programming"
Starts to manifest conditions of harmony and abundance in your external world
If you're not using the conscious mind to do 1 of these 3 things..
Simply allow all illusion of control to slip away and operate in effortless flow
There will be resistance at first..
Because you're so used to trying to control every little detail..
But that only results in tension and lack
An easy method of imprinting your will is to take a diary and write that which you desire 15x a day

Feel the emotion flow through you as embody this ideal identity
Write entirely in the present moment
(As if the conditions have already been secured)
Additionally..
Operate from and embody abundance in EVERY moment
Make abundance your predominant mental attitude
If you feel like you're faking it at first, don't worry
Act ruthlessly and trust the process
It won't take long for external conditions to start morphing to match your skillfully imprinted desires
This will give rise to a natural confidence and sense of personal power
In summary..
All is mind..

DOOMSCROLLING
You've made your plans..
Set your intentions..
You know all the optimal routines and practices:
> Deep work
> Early nights
> Time blocking
Etc.
You know what you need to do to win
And yet..
You keep finding yourself in the same situation..
When you know you should be doing XYZ..
You instead find yourself mindlessly scrolling
> YT Shorts..
> TT
> The Twitter feed..
You name it..
You're there
Cycling through your social media apps...
Hunting for every last drop of dopamine that you can squeeze out of your frazzled brain..
Before you know it..
It's 1:37 AM..
And the wave of shame and crippling doubt wash over you
"Why the f*ck did I do this again!?"
"Why am I neglecting what I know I need to do!?!"
"Why do I keep making the same mistake?!"
Realistically, we've all been there..
And in the age of distraction you know how crippling this addiction can be..
And here's the kicker..
It doesn't even FEEL GOOD
In fact..
If you stop and analyze your energetic state..
It feels pretty damn awful
You'll find yourself in a zombie like state of contraction and mild to severe anxiety
The responsibilities you know you should be attending to gnawing away at your well being from the edges of your mind
So how do we go about transmuting this habit that leads to lack and limitation..
To that which we actually desire?
In order to do this..
Let's establish exactly what it is that we're actually trying to achieve by doomscrolling
Take a moment to think:
What is it you're really looking to achieve when you're caught up cycling through your social media apps?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Any ideas?
It's simple:
You're looking to feel:
> Calm
> Whole
> At peace
> Completely relaxed
And here lies the fundamental misunderstanding that causes you to doomscroll:
These qualities ARE NOT found OUT THERE..
In THIS and THAT..
In the next YT short..
In the next TT reel
They are in fact found and cultivated by turning inwardly..
Suffusing your mind and spirit in stillness and silence
Allowing the mind to collect around a single thing
(The breath)
And getting very quiet and calm
Let's look at the dictionary definition of quiet:
"No disturbing sound"
"Free from noise"
"To make tranquil or peaceful"
And so I ask you..
When was the last time you experienced an inner state of calm, tranquil peace?
Not recently?
Not ever?
Do you think you'll find that in endlessly cycling through social media?
"Less is more"
Because we've found enjoyment and relief in social media usage in the past..
And because most people don't understand the joy and bliss of being quiet and calm..
We default to it in order to deal with our stress..
But it more often than not ends up becoming an additional source of stress
Compounding that we which we built up throughout the day
(Which is a matter for another thread)
Trying to manage your stress by scrolling social media is like trying to quench your first by drinking sand..
Or continuing to pour when the cup is already full..
"To keep on filling
is not as good as stopping.
Overfilled, the cupped hands drip,
better to stop pouring.
Sharpen a blade too much
and its edge will soon be lost.
Fill your house with jade and gold
and it brings insecurity.
Puff yourself with honor and pride
and no one can save you from a fall.
Retire when the work is done;
this is the way of heaven."
- Tao Te Ching
A simple question to ask when you realize you're caught up is this:
"Why am I doing this?"
"Am I enjoying this?"
By shining the light of awareness onto our unconscious behavior..
We can start to transmute it into a conscious habit that moves us closer to achieving what we truly desire:
Genuine peace
Sitting with your feelings of contraction WILL feel uncomfortable at first..
But it is not in numbing your pain that you'll transcend it..
But by leaning into it
Shine the gentle loving light of awareness onto it
You might even say
"I am aware of *insert your name* feeling anxious"
"I am aware of *insert your name* feeling contracted"
By labeling it in this manner you'll find it creates a degree of separation and space
This spaciousness can start to bring you into a more expanded energetic state
It may not be immediate..
But that's fine
Keep gently labeling the sensations and feelings arising and passing away in your body and mind
You can then ask yourself:
"Am I willing to allow myself to relax?"
"Am I willing to allow myself to completely let go?"
"When am I willing to do this?"
You may answer gently:
"Right now"
Feel the gentle release of all the tension of your day
Allow a gentle smile on your lips
Feel the sense of expansion in your body/mind
Recognize the sense:
"Ah yes, this is what I was looking for"
Good luck my friend
Any questions gladly welcomed below
I hope this allows you to experience a greater sense of peace and relief in daily life

He'd tried Meditation and knew it's benefits..
But more often than not found himself either:
A. Lost in habitual patterns of negative thought
B. Falling asleep
After our first call we set up some powerful frameworks and mindset shifts..
The result?
3 Simple Shifts To 10x Your Peace of Mind and Presence In Daily Life:
Two days ago I entered an altered state of consciousness while wiping my arse..
Every rip of the paper was perfect..
My eyes filled with tears as bliss flowed through my mind and body..
In that moment..
There was nowhere else I'd rather be..
Nothing else I'd rather be doing
A crude example perhaps
But it shows the power of:
> Attention
> Letting go
And how when we ALLOW ourselves to develop this depth of attention..
Even the most mundane of moments can become mystical in nature
Because here's the thing..
When we're deeply present and in a state of complete surrender..
It's like turning up the quality on a YT video from 360p to 2k > 4k > 32k
(Depending on the degree to which you let go into the eternal now)
As this depth of attention + letting go blossoms..
We find this incredibly nourishing beauty that was, in reality, always there..
We just weren't tapping into it
And from what I've read..
People who microdose experience similar effects
The obvious difference being that this is FULLY NATTY..
AKA
Nothing external required
Just a result of you moving away from a state of subtle resistance..
To complete acceptance
And here's the profound thing..
You find the "thing" you were looking for in unskillful ways
(P*rn, phone, social media etc)
There's an immediate sense in these moments of presence of:
"Ah, yes..
This is IT - This is what I was looking for"
So how can you start to tap in to this innate beauty and nourishment that's always there?
Here's 5 simple habits that I use every day that have had an exponential effect on my inner peace:
1. Resting awareness on the breath
Your breath is your ever-present ally..
Your doorway to cultivating present-moment awareness
And a path to supreme liberation
Diligently returning to the breath was described by the Buddha as being of:
"Great fruit" and "Great benefit"
Cultivating awareness of your breath in all moments is POWERFUL..
But I find it especially powerful in the little in-between moments:
> Waiting in line for a coffee
> While at traffic lights
> Waiting for a webpage to load
> While taking a 💩
Those little moments where we'd so often default to browsing our phones..
Which actually leads us further away from what we truly desire:
A state of peace, presence and acceptance
The key with cultivating a nourishing breath is simple..
Allow the breath to become:
> Long
> Soft
> Smooth
Notice how calming this feels..
Notice how it allows you to engage with what is..
Instead of ruminating about the past..
Fixated on the future..
Or in a state of chaotic contraction
-----------------------------------------------------------
2. Slow down
So often we rush through life..
Moving from one thing to the next..
While cascading into an ever more contracted state
Why do we do this?
Simply..
We've made an unconscious bargain with ourselves:
"I'll allow myself to feel content and calm when XYZ condition is fulfilled"
When you work like this..
You're negating what "is"
The present moment
All you have
You're living in your head..
Instead of reality
The terrible truth is that most live like this until they either:
> Get a massive wake up call in the form of tragedy
> Suffer to such a degree that they are willing to truly let go
The sad truth?
Many never change
Here's a super simple framework I use throughout the day:
> Maintain a gentle 4-point smile:
*Heart > Mouth > Eyes > Mind*
> Slow down 20%
> Treat everything as if it were sacred:
Every sock you fold..
Every dish you wash
Every sip of water you take
> Do one thing
> At one time
> With all of your being
Sounds too simple?
Give it a try for a week and tell me it doesn't make a profound difference to the quality of your life
-----------------------------------------------------
3. Keep it light + Playful
We have a tendency to make things out to be more serious than they really are..
We post something on Twitter and it does poorly..
We stumble over our words with that girl we like..
We continually seem to mess up things we care about
But here's the thing..
NONE OF THIS IS A PROBLEM IN OF ITSELF
The thing that causes issues is your reaction to these events..
So often you chastise yourself when you make mistakes..
Each failure putting a dent in your fragile shell of self-worth
If you allow the small things to get to you like this..
Then you're operating from an unconscious place of lack and ignorance..
Placing self-worth on external factors..
Instead of taking a longer view..
And operating from a place of abundance and KNOWING:
"It's a matter of time until I achieve my goals - Until then I'll enjoy the process"
A mistake is better greeted with a bellow of laughter than a tut of frustration
And these small reactions are subtle hints at how light (or not) our approach to life is
Learning to laugh off mistakes can be the difference between burnout and frustration..
And profound realizations that propel you forward in your chosen path
"Until you make the unconscious conscious..
It will direct your life and you'll call it fate"
- Carl Jung
How to turn this concept into a framework to move away from:
> Doubt
> Lack
> Limitation
Into YOUR seat of personal power:
The present moment
The moment you wake the mind machine starts churning..
It's imperative to snap into awareness immediately and start planting seeds of positivity and abundance
"Our environment reflects conditions
corresponding to the predominant mental attitude which we entertain"
- Charles F. Haanel
I do this:
1. Pray - "Thank you for this Earth Walk great divine"
(Note - Your words should not be empty or automatic - FEEL the gratitude pour through your mind, body and heart)
2. " I am incredibly abundant"
3. "What I desire, desires me"
4. Go out into the sun..
Bathe in it's glorious light..
I draw the immense solar energy of the sun and convert it into personal energy, power and abundance
I state exactly that which I desire - That which is in line with the highest vision I have for myself..
Personal empowerment begins in your mind, resonates out through your heart and reflects out into the external
Mastering your inner domain MUST be of the highest priority if you wish for a harmonious and aligned life.
@CenterHps The slaps serving as a pointer towards profound truth
That we are operating from a place of
> Disharmony
> Lack
> Fear
The opposite also applies when we operate in harmony with our highest good
We get miracles occur to varying degrees

Meditation + Mindfulness
A simple framework to transmute stress into incredible calm and flow(even in chaos) and unlock your maximum potential:
The closer you are to complete calm..
The closer you are to operating at your maximum potential
This absolute equilibrium allows you to perform the perfect action for a given situation automatically
(bypassing the conscious mind)
"One who lives in accordance with nature
does not go against the way of things.
He moves in harmony with the present moment,
always knowing the truth of just what to do"
- Tao Te Ching
In order to access this profound presence we use our ever-present ally:
The breath
You’re going to cultivate a “beautiful breath”
A breath that takes you into states of calm and perfection..
Grounds you in your body
And allows you to turn the mundane into the mystical
Keep this simple framework in mind:
“Long, soft and smooth”
You’ll notice when anxious and stressed how short and shallow your breath is
This causes disharmony and prevents your internal energies from flowing smoothly
Here’s what to do:
1/ Set the intention to gently cultivate a breath that’s “Long, soft and smooth”
Gently guide the breath into this state - There shouldn’t be any force or strain
2/ Anchor your awareness on this beautiful breath
Allow your mind to gently collect here
This is your home base
Your Oasis in the Desert
A place of restorative rest and relaxation
Notice how this grounds you in the body
You may, when the mind is mostly collected here, start to notice pleasant sensations in the body flowing spontaneously
3/ Unify and transcend to enter flow
Once your mind has gently collected on the breath
And you feel a pleasant state of calm
Allow yourself to forget your story
Unify your awareness on the breath
Drop all attempts to control
Allow yourself to act spontaneously
Witness how all actions start to become perfected
How instead of draining you..
They energize and empower you
You’re not really doing anything in particular
Just gently maintaining awareness on the breath
Drop all clinging and effort
And allow yourself to enter into a profound state of presence
“Practice not doing. . . .
When action is pure and selfless,
everything settles into its own perfect place”
The beauty of this is you can cultivate it at any time in your life..
> In a line waiting for your coffee
> While you wait for a business call to begin
> Before you go to sleep so you drop off quickly
> In times of stress and chaos
Etc
Develop this powerful skill in daily life
And watch it give rise to true confidence, personal power and flow
The reason you rush through life?
You're trying to speed run the point you allow yourself to feel peace
"Once I finish X I'll be happy"
"When I do Y I'll relax"
You're putting conditions on contentment..
True peace is only found NOW..
By gently easing into what is
