The Embassy has the pleasure of publishing this inspiring music performed in Hiroshima by Mohsen Sharifian, with his consent. Here is what he wrote on Instagram under the clip:
"'Blue Dream', a work by me and my dear friend Behnam Shahraki, featuring Sadegh Hosseinpour, the percussionist.
On my third trip to Japan, once again on the anniversary of the U.S. atomic attack on Hiroshima, I stood before a monument that serves as a reminder of one of the bitterest moments in human history. But this time, I entrusted the sound of southern Iranian music, laden with the grief of the missile attack on a school in Minab, to this dusty historical silence. This is the echo of peace from the Persian Gulf to Hiroshima with a 'Blue Dream', that the world may never hear the sound of war again."
