#Valavaara is definitely one of the best movies I’ve watched in recent times.
The way it portrays the bond between a mother and son feels incredibly real. The film also beautifully highlights how favoritism within a family can leave a lasting impact on a child.
While the story is shown through the perspective of a boy, I believe many girls will also connect deeply with the emotions, situations, and relationships portrayed in the film. The breathtaking locations add another layer of beauty to the narrative, and watching it took me right back to my childhood days.
@cpsutan has given us a relatable film that stays with you long after it ends.

Kannada (2026) (U)
A simple and heartwarming drama that makes us connect with their journey. Everyone delivers natural performances. The cinematography looks beautiful and the BGM adds nicely to the emotions....
#Valavaara has retained a few shows despite many new releases.
Those who haven’t watched this beautiful piece of art, kindly watch it with your kids and family. They will truly admire it.
Reviews like these are rare.
We complain that Kannada films lack experimentation and feel good content like Malayalam and Tamil cinema.
But when such films are made, we do not support them.
#Valavaara deserved a family audience in theatres.
Of late, Kannada films rarely touch upon generational trauma, sibling rivalry, and partiality within a family in a rural setting.
