The way it portrays the bond between a mother and son feels incredibly real. The film also beautifully highlights how favoritism within a family can leave a lasting impact on a child.

While the story is shown through the perspective of a boy, I believe many girls will also connect deeply with the emotions, situations, and relationships portrayed in the film.
