Great to be interviewed for @Forbes on my opinion about #USA brands in #Europe and whether the current political climate would affect sentiment towards them. Read what I thought here:https://t.co/IYWnc1fPFd
So the ministers who haven’t seen the Defence Investment Plan thinks it’s great.
And
The ministers who have seen the Defence investment Plan thought it was so bad they resigned! https://t.co/rZTzJ5vt9W
Today I have met Lucy, Mark and Katie, Henry Nowak’s mother, father and stepmother. Their courage is extraordinary.
They have endured the most appalling loss, it is a life sentence for them.
They have also faced the agonising decision to release the harrowing body-worn camera footage, knowing how painful it would be and how strongly people would react. They did so because they want truth, accountability and change.
They have asked that we work across political parties and religions to rebuild trust in the police. That trust has been broken because of what happened, and I agree with them on that.
We must also be prepared to examine, carefully and seriously, religious practices or exemptions that permit the carrying of dangerous weapons in public, and other activities that are not conducive to the public good. We also need to examine where the law needs to change.
Henry’s family do not want anger to tear communities apart. They are a family who have friends across faith and race, and so did Henry. His family want his memory to help bring our society together.
Everyone knows I have strong views about how we should deal with equality under the law. What the family agreed with me on is that we need to bring common sense back, and that is what we should all be fighting for.
I promised the family that we will work to ensure there is a positive legacy for Henry out of this tragedy.
That is my focus now.
Still lots more work to do to win back trust.
But @Conservatives are the only serious party with the strong team and clear plan to Get Britain Working Again.
Under @KemiBadenoch’s leadership we are on track to win the next general election.
The only party leader with a plan, a team, and a backbone.
@KemiBadenoch tears into the Labour government in the King’s Speech debate today. @Conservatives
Never mind the local elections, Kemi Badenoch looks set to top the singles charts with her latest smash hit, ‘Back Britain Proper’, by The Crewkerne Gazette.
Keir Starmer is said to be mortified.
+ a special appearance from Zack Polanski.

Why has the press willfully ignored this startling revelation.
At Emily Thorbberry's Foreign Affairs select committee hearing last week, Morgan McSweeney admitted Jonathan Powell was NOT vetted when he was appointed National Security Advisor on the 8th of November 2024.
Has a D Notice been issued?
Are journalists scared of investigating why Powell wasn't vetted when he was negotiating changing the status of the joint UK/US military base on Diego Garcia in the Chagos Archipelago?
Normally, such a project would automatically be given a Top Secret UK Blue Eyes Only security classification.
However, Powell was working, unknown to Parliament, the press, and public, as Starmer's Special Chagos Envoy from at least the 2nd of August 2024.
His appointment was only officially announced on the 6th of September, and even then, the information had to be dragged out of Number 10.
This is VERY serious business, giving away Chagos, where a strategically important joint UK/US military base is located, is not only a matter of the UK's national security, but also of America's, NATO's and the West's security.
We know that Powell was working on Chagos since the 2nd of August from emails between the FCDO and Powell's own private company email address which he used extensively for Chagos business, for sending and receiving documents, and he even forwarded some emails to his employees at his consultancy Inter Mediate.
We also know Powell made several trips to China before he started work on Chagos, and after the 6th of September.
When Powell met FCDO civil servants on the 2nd of August 2024, that meeting must have been arranged beforehand; when was it arranged, and by whom?
When was Powell given the Chagos Envoy role, and were there any earlier meetings with officials than the one on the 2nd of August?
Jonathan Powell is still working on Chagos. On Wednesday the 22nd of April 2026 during a phone call, Powell reassured Mauritius Prime Minister, Navin Ramgoolam, that the UK remained committed to the Chagos deal.
Why are the press running scared of properly reporting on Jonathan Powell?
No, it stands for English civilisation winning.
You stand for putting treacherous lawyers who collaborate with criminals in charge of lawfare against the SAS.
A future regime will jail your mate Hermer and RICO through your network

On the 44th anniversary of the Falklands War, it’s unthinkable that our closest ally would even consider shifting on the right to self‑determination
The Falklands have been British longer than Argentina has existed - and the islanders’ democratic choice must be respected
Mauritius is a signatory of the Pelindaba Treaty, which establishes Africa as a Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone, prohibiting nuclear weapons.
Starmer's Chagos deal will give 54 African countries the right to inspect the facilities on Diego Garcia if its sovereignty is transferred to Mauritius.
Starmer's Chagos deal also means Mauritius must be informed about military operations on Diego Garcia.
As we saw when Starmer initially refused to allow the US permission to use Diego Garcia to attack Iran, Mauritus will have the power of veto over operations from the island.
Starmer's deal is designed to force the Americans off Diego Garcia, so the island, which has excellent anchorage and infracstructure, can be used as a centre for the deep-sea mining of the Chagos Archipelago.
Starmer's deal explicitly states Mauritius gets full ownership to all the minerals and hydrocarbons, which could be worth £trillions, on the sea bed of the Chagos Archipelago, which at 250,000 square miles, is the size of France.
So the UK's 10-year gilt yield - the cost of government borrowing - is now up at 2008 levels.
An 18-year high
The difference is that, back then, UK national debt was 48pc of GDP, and now it's the best part of 100pc.
So the debt service costs are much MUCH heavier.
Of the £14.3bn the UK government borrowed in February alone, no less than £13bn of that was spent on interest on existing debts - a situation which is not only unsustainable, but very close to provoking a disastrous financial collapse.
Yet still, our national discourse is all about more spending, more borrowing, more "state intervention".
When is the Labour party – and much of the listless, unthinking rump of the UK's political and media class – going to start acknowledging reality?
WHEN ....?
It looks like councils were bullied, and threatened with funding cuts if they didn’t “ask” for their elections to be cancelled.
I have demanded answers from Steve Reed about his conduct through this process.
He must answer fully, or resign.

BREAKING NEWS: Civil servants and intelligence officials are apparently leaking information relating to the CHAGOS ISLANDS SOVEREIGNTY DEAL that they oppose. As Editor of THE CHAGOS FILES I have spoken to former civil servants who support the deal. It seems civil servants have been at war with each other behind the scenes for years.
