@NathArrowsmith1 In the 14th Century supposed 'immortal giant' John Hird lived up Troutbeck in Hirdwood. He walked every evening to a pub in Ambleside. He died on the fell one evening & rolled down to the very spot the @Mortalmaninn is now on. In them days they buried you where they found you.
