Writing my 9th fic for Kinktober out of a total of 13 or so that I chose to do. All different fandoms from Borderlands to Blue Lock. I'm working hard to meet the October deadlines for all of them. Don't know if I'll make it, but I'm going to try.

I played 3 days straight of Borderlands 4 and clocked in about 28hrs. All I can think of is playing more. The game is highly addictive. And it's pretty good. Maybe not a masterpiece, but really good. I'm enjoying the new characters & of course the old cameos.

Spending the week in DC for a conference. Saw the coolest rider on the metro getting off in Bethesda. They had a Hellfire Club backpack and a bunch of nifty pins that I of course stared at like a weirdo. Hit up the African American History museum yesterday. Tomorrow, conference.

On month fifteen of writing my extreme horror novel They Eat Their Young. Progress is slow but I'm over 10k & almost done with the scenes for act 1. I also have an idea for another horror in the works that I'm just calling Green. It'll deal heavily with the aftermath of trauma

#NaNoWriMo, the disgraced "write a novel in a month" platform that got exposed for alleged grooming, has now fully embraced using AI to write, even going as far to post an overly aggressive FAQ about it.

Apparently it's ableist AND classist to be against AI.

I think the first half of the Borderlands film holds up & it's in the second and third acts where the pacing goes to hell. It feels like a great deal was cut from the final script. Still, was entertaining cheese for what it was & I wouldn't call it the worst thing I've ever seen

Gonna spend the first day of a three day weekend watching movies & eating take out. I think I'll start with Borderlands then watch Chaos Walking. Two adaption movies that aren't supposed to have much merit. I try not to judge too harshly till I've experienced something for myself
