The Fed JUST increased the Fed Funds rate by 0.25% - the 11th increase since March 2022. The high side of the target range now sits at 5.50%, with the corresponding Prime Rate now at 8.50%, to the dismay of credit card and home equity line-of-credit debtors.

As expected, FOMC raises target range to 5.00-5.25% by another 0.25%. In lock step, the Prime Rate will now be 8.25%, which is pegged to credit cards, auto loans and home equity lines-of-credit. Will this be the last hike of 2023? Thoughts?
