@SharonBrennan Not sure how helpful this will be since I’m based in Scotland, but hospitals have been given priority for supplies so some of our patients have managed to get meds from there. Current guidance is wholesalers will receive stock 3 x a month with imports arriving soon
A big part of adulting is trying to rediscover your lust for life. Almost everything about the world we live in attempts to sucks the joy out of living but you actively have to seek joy and try to love living.
Last day at this pharmacy. A lot has happened in the four and a half years I’ve been here. Seeing so many people sad that we’re leaving is heartbreaking but I’m so proud of my lil team cause it means we made such a difference in the time we were here ❤️
Very grateful that Strathclyde released IP results this week because it meant I got to tell most of the people who provided shadowing opportunities to me in person that I passed 🥰
"Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go"
As I leave my current job, my professional confidence is at rock bottom… but as hard and as emotional as the goodbyes are with patients, some of them have reminded me that I’ve not been absolutely awful and I kinda needed that for going in to a new job 😅
@ashadieu I actually genuinely love being a pharmacist and my patients for the most part, this is just some cowardly little man who works next door that’s decided to target us completely out of the blue after working next door for a year. And he won’t just drop it!
A man at a neighbouring business has gone on a local vendetta against us simply because he was told “no we’re not going to do what you rudely demanded we do”… the entitlement of men.
@beerb0ngs What it was hit off of, or the force used or whether it was whilst in a fist etc. Fingers are tricky little things, even if it’s a bad sprain it’s worth making sure it heals properly to prevent further mobility issues or nerve issues down the line.
@beerb0ngs Right in terms of icing, strapping it to reduce movement… but I’d say your best bet is to go to minor injuries and see if they can do a quick x-ray to check it out. You don’t need to go in to detail about how it happened if you don’t want, just maybe give info like
@beerb0ngs Hey - thanks for getting back to me ☺️ How is it this morning? Based on your symptoms from last night, I’d say it’s worth getting it checked out to make sure there isn’t a fracture there, especially since you have numbness at the tip. You’re doing everything
@beerb0ngs Hey - what happened to your finger if you don’t mind me asking? Do you still have sensation at the top or is it feeling numb? Have you tried anything to far to manage pain/swelling?
