I have a question for our Protestant brothers:
Let’s say John is a "good Christian" Baptized, believes in Christ, lives generally well - but still sins and asks God for forgiveness in daily life.
Now imagine this: John lies at work to avoid punishment. Moments later, he dies instantly in an accident without confessing that specific sin and other mild sins before that.
Where does he go? Heaven or hell?
Now consider what Scripture says: "Nothing unclean shall enter heaven" (Revelation 21:27).
If nothing unholy can enter God's presence, then even the smallest stain of sin would disqualify a person.
So, where exactly do you think he'd go?
Heaven or not?
Genuinely asking.

Do you know that there is a saint invoked against procrastination? He's a saint for those who need things done right now, not tomorrow!
He is Saint Expedite, snd today, April 19th, is his feast day..
He is often called upon for help in overcoming delays and taking decisive action, stemming from the legend where he rejected the devil’s urging to postpone his conversion to Christianity.
In that story, depicted with him crushing a crow symbolizing "tomorrow" (cras in Latin) while holding a cross marked "today" (hodie),
he embodies swift resolution and is a popular figure for those seeking to combat procrastination or resolve urgent matters quickly.
Miraculous Prayer or Prayer for Urgent Matters
My Saint Expedite of urgent and just causes,
please intercede for me with Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Succor me in this hour of affliction and despair,
my Saint Expedite. You who are a holy warrior,
You who are the Saint of the afflicted,
You who are the Saint of the desperate,
You who are the Saint of urgent causes,
protect me, help me,
give me strength, courage, and serenity. Hear my plea
(Here, clearly express your request and ask him to find a way to grant it.)
My Saint Expedite, help me to prevail through these difficult hours,
protect me from all those who want to harm me,
respond to my plea with urgency.
Bring me back to the state of peace and tranquillity,
my Saint Expedite. I will be grateful to you for the rest of my life
and I will speak your name to all those who have faith. Amen.
One morning at work, during one of our usual general pep talks, they asked one of my colleagues to pray for us before we started.
After making the sign of the Cross and some Nondenominational Christians murmured "amen", 😂tell me why Michael started his prayer with "Come oh Holy Spirit and fill the hearts of your faithful."
Everyone started wondering what he was saying, until the Catholics responded accordingly.
Catholics around understood and followed. Penticostals in that pep-talk were annoyingly waiting to murmur amen while they were also shocked at his audacity.
Audacity to call on the Holy Spirit?
I was proud tho
The Catholics sure have a community that’s built on love and respect, because the kind of DMs and comments I got from this post is enough to make me want to stay
We provided FREE RIDES… but more than that, we shared Jesus.
You are not too far gone.
He’s not counting your sins the way you think.
He calls you by name, and He wants you.
This is your reminder: Jesus loves you.

As someone who was once Anglican and now catholic, I understand what she’s trying to say but I also think she’s missing the plot.
Every church has a way of doing things.
If you listen to a lot of Pentecostal pastors and you attend a catholic mass, you will need a lot of time to adjust.
There’s a certain kind of solemnity that you get in Catholic Church that you can’t find elsewhere.
Wanting your priest to preach like AJS is an error. A Christian understands that it is the whole service that blesses you and not just a part of the service. People have different gifts. Some might preach better than others but the goal of a sermon is not who teaches better but the quality of what you are being taught and how it impacts your life. We are in the era where pastors can’t preach if someone isn’t playing the keyboard in the background. So you see all these and wonder why your own Priest is dull or doesn’t preach with so much vim.
I’m of the personal belief that you can’t get all you need for your Christian journey from a particular man of God. This also means that you are very much within your right to change church if you feel your current one doesn’t minister to you anymore.
We need to look beyond the noise and ask ourselves what really matters when it comes to seeking the Lord. Once you figure this out, it will be your guiding light.
Dear Catholics,
Since this has been brought here, let me say this clearly.
My concern is not about attacking the Catholic Church. My concern is about how we as Catholics now respond when people express genuine spiritual concerns.
If someone says, I was not spiritually fed, why has our first reaction become defensiveness? Why do we immediately turn it into, You are not Catholic enough,or If you do not like it, go to another church ??? Whyyyy???
That response is so so wrong on every level.
Christ Himself made it clear that He came for sinners, not for the self acclaimed righteous. So when someone expresses spiritual hunger, confusion, or even dissatisfaction, that should not be an opportunity for judgment. It should be an opportunity for guidance, compassion, and love.
Not every concern is rebellion. Sometimes people are simply yearning for a deeper connection with God. Sometimes they are asking, in their own way, to be helped.
And genuinely this is okay! It’s okay to want a deeper connection with God. Experiences shape you and inform you. Your personal relationship with God is only known by you and God.
Yes, the Catholic faith is not about entertainment. Yes, spiritual life goes beyond feelings. But let us not ignore a truth we already know. Homilies are meant to communicate. They are meant to break down the Word of God in a way people can understand, relate to, and live out.
So why are we pretending this is not an issue that some priests have? Thankfully I have had opportunity of changing churches but how many people have the luxury of changing parishes?
Why are we choosing defensiveness over reflection?
Why are we turning people away instead of drawing them closer to the church?
Telling people to “go to another church” because they are struggling is not only dismissive, it is deeply un Christlike. How long can this continue???
What I think we should do instead -We need to return to charity in how we respond. When someone expresses spiritual distance, we should listen first, not judge. We should guide, explain, and encourage, not shame or dismiss.
Catholic Priests also need continued awareness and support in delivering homilies that truly communicate. Homilies that engage, teach, and connect the Word of God to everyday life.
And as a Church, we must create space where people can be honest about their struggles without fear of being labelled “less Catholic.”
Because the strength of our faith is not in shutting people down. It is in helping them grow.
We cannot claim to represent Christ while speaking without mercy. If our defense of the faith lacks love, then we are losing the very message we are trying to protect.
The goal is not to prove who is more Catholic. The goal is to lead people closer to God.
Let us do better!!
Don’t engage my post if you are not respectful and don’t have a constructive criticism unless I’ll block you. Thank you.
Happy Sunday!
On March 19th at about 12:34pm. Some Government task force officials from Calabar Urban Development Authority rounded up children from the streets and took them away.
When we arrived, we found them on the ground. Feet bound, crying and shaking . Some too afraid to make a sound.
