Lesbian. Used to tweet about writing and games; now I scream about the portents of f-cism to an uncaring void. It does not pay the bills. Hire me? (He/She)
@viiaeriis You have to forget about the individual enemies 🫡 It’s all about setting traps, directing traffic, and Managing the Horde
(…until you fight the Arishok. Then it’s all about moving your tower really fast around two pillars)
I know I’m not getting as much traction as of late, but it won’t stop me from showing you how proud I am of all the work I’ve done.
This is a Lucanis painting I started some time ago that I mostly likely won’t finish, but hey, I made this myself!
@brigandine_ If you like “choose your own adventure” style interactive fiction, VtM: Night Road and VtM: Parliament of Knives are both really good ways to experiment with the world, outside thr video games and tabletop rpg.
@finaleragazza@50GreyWardens My friend, on first playthrough, actually thought that Fiona had a crush on Alistair, based on what was presented in Inquisition lol. I had to correct him quickly, but I don’t think he was crazy for thinking “random mage woman is weirdly interested in Alistair… she has a crush?”
@finaleragazza@50GreyWardens You’re right; I knew it was in the books, and dunno why that slipped my mind entirely lol. But I would argue that the hints in DA:I are only obvious if you already know — otherwise, you just get a sense that Fiona is hiding “something”
@Derpderp131313@wwxwashere You may feel there’s no difference between a good fanfic and a good story is also a fanfic, though, and that’s okay; it’s just a meaningless opinion haha ❤️
@Derpderp131313@wwxwashere Right, yes; I apologize. I wasn’t trying to imply otherwise. My argument is that, to exemplify the characteristics of a good fanfic, rather than just a good story that also happens to be a fanfic, it should grapple with the canon in a meaningful way.
@finaleragazza@50GreyWardens Alistair’s mom is actually Fiona — a fact that is only revealed in the comics, and never in the games themselves lol. In Dragon Age: Origins, Alistair tells us his mother was an unnamed servant girl.
@Derpderp131313@wwxwashere Both are good, but the first is a very good *fanfic*, and the second is a very good story, imo. One isn’t better than the other, the first is just more specific.
@Melchi0r2@Alison_is_lost If you want an anti-communist society that feeds on literal human beings and exploits people like cattle, you could always try going outside
