I ain’t got your faith in either parties or politicians. I also won’t say it’s broken. I do like the elections and balance of power thing with voting. I just don’t see either side that get me motivated to be involved. I think last time I cared was Bernie, but superpac chose Clinton. Haven’t cared since.. not even to Bernie anymore. I’m glad you’re interested and involved. Just not for me anymore.

Yes regarding to atomic bomb, the aftermath isn’t usually taught in detailed at school but easily found in documentaries on tv.

TBH, I don’t feel much about it aside from “War is Hell” and hoping there won’t be another one that involves major civilian casualties.

Other than that, it is what it is. It was a Great War that everyone involved was in a living hell. It’s part of history and as humans I don’t see a possible way avoiding wars/conflicts. The only good thing came out of that is civilization casualties are far less nowadays compared to the 1940s in direct wars.

Peace is never really an option in human history. Unfortunate human condition.
