@AntonioInMotion Good point! That’s definitely something I still want to improve.
Adding more visible environmental damage like broken or scorched trees around the crash path would help sell the impact even further.
I improved my crash site based on feedback.
I’ve been working on a crash scene for my game and got some really helpful feedback. The goal was to make it feel more natural and readable:
- less “perfect hole”
- clearer impact trail
- more debris along the path
Still iterating!
Added a day/night cycle and environmental storytelling to my indie game 🌍🔥
Added:
• Day/night cycle
• Crash site improvements
• Dynamic smoke
• Creatures roaming the environment
Trying to make the world feel more alive.

@yabsssai Thanks! Right now, the smoke is mainly visual and helps reinforce the atmosphere around the crash site.
Later on, I’d love to make environmental elements like smoke, hazards, or biome conditions influence creature behavior and exploration more directly.
Hello! 👋
I'm working on Mount Frontier, an indie creature-collecting exploration game where every beast you discover can become your mount.
Currently early in development, but I'll start sharing progress here!
